Why is land in Arizona so cheap? What's the catch? Is there no well water?

>What's the catch?
That land is next to a highway. Also I would imagine you have to worry about illegal mexcrement wandering through or squatting on your land.

fracking. your tap water is flammable

camino seco literally means dry road so probably no water. also the catch is you have to live in arizona and it's 120º

>What's the catch?
cartel goons will murder you

Nothing guns can't handle. What about here? Less than an hour from a major city and there's plants so there has to be water underground, no?

no water, electricity, or sewer. wells are expensive as fuck to drill. septic systems are expensive as fuck to install. electricity, i don't even know how that would work.

Septic for sewer. Solar for energy

the amount of money you would have to spend on solar panels would insane. arizona is hot as fuck, your energy usage for air conditioning would be enormous.

wtf are you going to do with 40 acres of non-arable desert?

fine, i give up. Back to wageslaving tomorrow

Build your home into the side of a mountain for naturally cooling

also you would need a massive battery array to store energy. people who do solar typically sell back to the power company when production exceeds demand and then net that against their draw from the power company when demand exceeds production (night time, cloudy weather, etc.) this isn't an option if you aren't connected to a grid.

You’re looking at land pretty Far East near the white tank mountains or further I think. You should look at land north of the i-17.
The land you want is near pine, or flagstaff, or strawberry, mounds park area, Prescott, that area. You get liveable summers, utilities are set up, and your land is still cheap with access to restaurants, schools, etc.

Build one of those underground desert houses, I think they did it in the mesopotamian epire or persian or some shit. where pretty based. good cooling. paint the top white like the greeks do and you have a cool home.

It's fairly priced (shithole that no one wants to own). There's essentially no arbitrage or growth opportunities in the real estate market these days because all the big players know the markets so well everything is priced accurately.

It’s probably only 130 degrees there right now

Fly away in an earthship

you see how there's a big ass sign that says "reserve"? that means other people can use the land. it might look like you have a lot of space but on the right summer day you might have never ending traffic out front and a line of campers out back.

they didn't build enough roads out west so everyone lives and/or plays on top of each other, it's so weird since they have so much space, the problem is they aren't using it efficiently.

Can't you just add a water pump that sucks the water into a tank when there's excess energy. Release it back down through a hydroelectric generator when you lack solar.

this comment made me look into arizona on google maps. I'm literally going around phoenix and this shit looks like the country side even tho im in "THE MIDDLE " of city. What the fuck is this? is this how america is? no wonder you guys all live in cars all the time holy shit.

sorry fellow wagie. it never even began for us

I thought it's expensive in that area?

Arizona is the biggest culprit of what you're looking at. It's called "urban sprawl". AZ is just very sprawled out. Look at Tempe, or just downtown phoenix for the city parts. West/northwest of Central and Washington moves from urban to suburban area, everything East of Tempe is absolutely the country side vibe, after you get past the eastern suburbs like Chandler and Mesa.

40 acres for 35k buy it sell the fracking rights to big oil

Not always.

keep in mind iwth this last one that you are less than 10 miles away from million dollar lots

Adobe houses are based and yeah set into the ground somewhat. Upkeep can be kind of expensive though since adobe experts aren't cheap and it's not the most durable of building materials. They stay cooler in hot months and warmer in cold months very well.
Western states are just enormous so most places never built upwards bc they could just get cheaper land next to that. Eventually cars showed up, nobody planned any of the cities to have transit, and you get enormous sprawling cities where you might live a 45 min drive from your job. It's pretty gross. The smaller western cities like Santa Fe are aesthetically very based though.

>you get enormous sprawling cities where you might live a 45 min drive from your job
what happens when we run out of oil?

>just downtown phoenix for the city parts.
Yeah and even then the city center looks like a suburb or like a small european village center with 1000 pop.
>and you get enormous sprawling cities where you might live a 45 min drive from your job
digusting.
I have this too, but its traffic jams. (motorcycle gets me straight through it tho).

Jesus christ guys, It's no wonder you guys are always advocating to not live in a city if this is city life for you guys. I literally shilled cities here a while ago and everyone got butthurt that I'd rather have 1 bedroom in the city center with things to do as opposed to a big home.
But yeah give me the big home if this is the option you get for a "city". jesus christ.

>pic related, you can see my house here.
