I honestly cannot get a clear read on the value proposition of the akro token other than "it will be used to farm adel". but other tokens and stablecoins will also be able to do that, is akro just going to give out way more adel yield compared to staking the other assets?

You may be right for those who got in early, but most people are now priced out of having enough swap to get the launchpad airdrops. Akro is still cheap enough to get a big bag for a couple of ETH.
