Ripple just understands that working with regulators is a smart move and is necessary if you want to see worldwide adoption, and they're correct. You're not burning down shit. The government can simply ban anything they want to. But just because ripple is working with financial institutions does not mean that xrp isn't decentralized. Xrp is decentralized and ultimately the future of the network will be completely decided by those who are participating in it. Period. The banks can't do shit in that realm, and ripple will just be another player if they choose to be or not.
