Sure. Don't do invisalign though. It seems like it's easier, but the results are shit. Just suck it up and look like a nerd for a year or whatever.

I spoke to an orthodontist and he said for the best results I will also need jaw surgery. It's pretty expensive, but I'm in my early 20's so it might be worth it.

When I was about 13 my (single, parents divorced) mother asked me if I wanted braces. I don't have an overbite or anything just a gap between the two front teeth. I said no and she went with my choice. I was self conscious about that gap until my late twenties and can't believe that stupid woman let a child make they decision.

nice topic. I am thinking about fixing it, but my doctor told first to get brackets to fix angle from 51 to 60 for 6 month and when either keep it for few years or do jaw surgery because there is only few mm deviation of jaw in my case.
tldr gonna get brackets for me and than maybe fixing my jaw which sounds pretty scary to be honest

They pull out your back teethes and 5th teethes (whatever it means) than breaks your jaw in 3 parts, realign it and put on titanium brackets. Sounds miserable and probably is.

My parents were broke retards so they never got me braces. Had vampire teeth, was horrible.
Go to multiple orthodontists. Several wanted to break my jaw too.
I found one, at age 21, who said he could get my teeth straight without breaking the jaw. Check online for reviews obviously before hand.
I had to first pay about 2 grand to get my wisdom teeth removed.
It was then another 7 grand for my braces. I had them on for four years.
Felt weird being an adult with braces, but I was already so self conscious of my teeth when I smiled that I stopped caring quickly.
The longer you wait, the more awkward it’s going to be.

Don't know your case OP, but mine was pretty bad but not that horrible, I wore them for 15 months and after this, it gave me a huge confidence boost + fixed some chewing problems (one of my front upper teeth was behind lower teeth). Also I got a strange habit of looking at other people's teeth, not sure if that's the case for everyone

I am on invalisign now and works out better than expected. Its not going to be perfect bite in the end but I needed jaw surgery for that anyway

I did smile direct. Basically the same thing. Mixed results. My visible teeth are all much better save for 1 on the bottom row. Guess it didn't have anywhere to go considering I still have 3 of my wisdom teeth. For the 6 months I had to wear them, I think it was worth it even if they aren't perfect

I'm kind of in the opposite situation. My front teeth aren't actually that bad, but my back teether are all over the place and so my bite sucks (moderately bad overbite).
