I ignored Dot for a long time but got bored one day and went through some of the tutorials.
It's hard to understand what Polkadot means if you're a non techie, but for the tech people out there who haven't looked in to it yet;
basically, if Docker is Ethereum, then Polkadot is Kubernetes but also provides it's own container definition templates (substrate)
Quant isn’t another blockchain so you are correct in that respect. Their Overledger operating system sits over all blockchains to provide true interoperability. Ofc, they also connect legacy and other protocols, something Polkadot hasn’t even considered.
