Whatever happened to all the ETH killers?

there was neo, eos, trx, etc.
they were all the rage, climbing up CMC to new all time highs, until they actually launched.
did anybody even use them for anything ever?

ETH RIP so token not needed.

trx got some use for casinos and tether. i think that's mostly dead now, tether is moving from tron to omg (so basically eth)
eos also had some mobile shovelware and some social media attempts. not sure if that went anywhere
neo was always dead in the water. i don't think anything is happening with that
ironically all those chains still made the right call by having icos and overhyping themselves as eth killers. compare with poa network for example, a perfectly fine dpos chain which made the choice to promote itself as complementary to eth rather than adversary, and even built good tooling to transfer back and forth between eth and poa. the poa token cratered to near 0, and even their subsequent sister project, xdai, got no attention whatsoever from the public until they added a token to it. and now that they've done so, you've got pajeets spamming Zig Forums about it
blockchain technology is so complicated when you weed out the retards and the opportunists you're left with maybe 0.001% of the population. even if you want to build something legit, it's better to focus on marketing to mongs and shill campaigns towards mongs, and then build something concrete with the resulting warchest. chainlink is the poster child for this strategy

dPOS is a step back

OMG is outperforming it.

Ive explained this a million times already. There was never a true ETH killer. Not once in all of time
>ADA
uses Chainlink. Chainlink uses ETH.
>XTZ
uses Chainlink. Chainlink uses ETH
>NEO
Never ETH competitor. Is just the Chinese ETH because china doesnt want to cuck to Russians

Flare is the only true ETH killer

ETH is and will remain king. Both Andre Kronje and the dude form ARPA mentioned that defi is not just about the blockchain but also about the ecosystem and protocols on it, and that they don't believe any of the other chains will steal defi mcap form Ethereum (and Kronje actually worked on an "ETH killer" himself). 99% + of all of these will slowly starve with near 0 adoption (which doesn't mean they can'still make early buyers a lot of money on the way).

The only real use of different blockhains are the ne that try to not be like ETH but just take on different use cases like fast-non money data transactions (like f.e. LTO or FUND).

All of your Cardano Polkadot Harmony shtcoins will ultimately be near useless

>don't believe any of the other chains will steal defi mcap form Ethereum
too bad all the stuff on ETH is utter complete garbage. this whole talk about "ecosystem" is just a giant buzzword. Many ETH maximalists have admitted, after all these years, Ethereum still has no real world adoption at all.
At this point, ETH is more of a brand than an actual utility
>muh smart con
literally the same shit as a anime con. just a giant joke.

>too bad all the stuff on ETH is utter complete garbage
I’m gonna take a big greasy saag paneer shit in your spare change coffee can when I see you on the street.
