yeah I saw it and it resonated with me, inspired me to fight to make sure I didn't end up like sato when I turned 22. I'll be in my mid-30's soon. Everything is worse than it was then, and much worse than being a 22 year old Sato.

But the groundwork is laid before you're even 5 years old. If your parents are very critical of you and do nothing when others abuse your trust, hit you, and tell you that you're worthless, that thought gets put in your mind very deep and underlies everything you do.
That's not the best metaphor. But if I am using it then I'd say that many times when I approached that water tough, someone forced me to the ground, overextended and pinned my arm, then had someone else stomp me in the testicles as hard as they could manage. My parents saw this and made him say he was sorry but they were laughing the whole time.
