I also imagine that most people don't realize a disputed purchase made with a credit card takes at least a month to process. This is a month+ of time where visa/MasterCard, PayPal/eBay/Amazon/Shopify/whatever and the business that was actually selling the product are basically left with the money in limbo. It's a huge drain on cashflow and opportunity cost. These disputes are all handled by near-minimum wage customer service reps in call centers as well, it's not like there's a university degree requirement to be a customer service rep for visa.. They also get it wrong a lot of the time. This is coming from someone who has ran online businesses, it's easily one of the most annoying parts.

It's basically turning customer service into a freelance position, yet everyone just thinks kleros is aiming to replace our criminal justice system.
