Because $1k link is going to take a while to reach. LINK will probably correct after $500 before reaching $1k, which will come after the next bare market.
$500 is a 29x away...however there are a lot of low caps that are probably going to 100x this bull cycle. Not saying I'm selling link because long term it could revolutionize finance at which point $1k is going to be the low end of link. But I have to make some short term profits too, which is where the low caps shine.

Just look for something that has a use case and potential. Tbqh I've never just looked through a list of coins, but if I see someone talking about something like sbree or DoT, something that's not on centralized exchanges yet and already have a genuine buzz around them, that's when you know something could take off. Just be weary about pump and dumps.
