I think you need to read the whitepaper. It is designed to be the EXACT SAME PRICE AS XRP held 1:1 by promoting arbitrage between xrp/fxrp. In order to get fxrp it needs to be BACKED BY YOUR XRP. No. Coinbase did not announce support. This may change, but have a back-up plan. Flare will give a 2-week warning before the snapshot. If you miss the snapshot, you're out of luck.
