[A Pepe Soros Alpha Post, previously known as AMPL Einstein] Right now YFV is rising in price as it’s correlated with YFI and YFII. It is another version of this. But it's “more”, not more, but it is a “defi product suite” of 3 things.
1. Yield Farm to start with - and earn YFV (like YAM) - farm with bal, bat, knc, btc, eth, and others, 98% token 2% yfv to earn 20-30% roi WEEKLY. Initial plan was to last 10 weeks, but there is discussion on either extending to 20 weeks. We are early, it is the start of week 3 (YFI was under $1k in it’s week 3 ;))
2. Stake YFV to earn elastic/Ampl-like rebasing assets (Stake YFV to claim for free) - starts tomorrow (Sept 1st). This is why the price rose from $18 to $66 - anticipation of people wanting to take large shares of this. This is not liquidity pooling but just staking YFV to earn vusd and veth - these 2 tokens are both "ampl-like", ie. vusd is supposed to be $1 and vETH is supposed to be 1 eth, but they both are elastic /rebase on demand. Yes, you read that correctly - elastic-rebasing-ETH - the ONLY way to get a decent amount of it is by staking YFV. This is also just exactly the $based model. Thought $3 for $1 stablecoin ampl was mad? Wait until you see $5-10k vETH!
What you are doing here is buying - or ideally farming for free - some YFV, to earn 2x elastic tokens - $Based style . Expect $Based levels of profit and madness.
3. Yield Farming Vaults (YFI style) - this is unannounced in full but will contain 3 vaults to start with and expect it to work like YFI - eth / btc / link - lock up any of these and YFV will do the 3-4-5x+ chain of transactions to farm them thought aave and compound and earn you interest (with a % fee paid into the YFV staking pool stakers)
So not only is this YFI and can do everything they can do, but it is only 1/3 of the project - or, the YFI part hasnt even started yet. What you are doing is buying in now - or farming in for free - for a future stake of a YFI like product (while probably earning insane $$$ from the Based like 2x stablecoins along the way).
Additionally as the price of YFV rises it becomes increasingly more alluring for other farming projects to include it in their pools/yields/farms - Harvest.Finance has a vote and YFV is doing we'll to get added at their launch, if so then expect $10m+ YFV to then be farming Harvest and the price to get pushed even higher ($100+ tomorrow if so)
Tldr: Farm now with bal,bat,re,knc,weth,wbtc and others, to earn free money, (30% weekly roi) use that free money to earn more elastic free money (play the elastic game like $AMPL / $Based +10-100x gains), use that elastic 100x gain to YFI style yield farm.

Pools got audited. I don't see how they can rug pull. They closed the first pool for FYV because there was an oversight in the code where assets could be locked in it by someone with the governance codes. Not even removed, but just stuck in there. They've been pretty transparent about everything, especially considering Chinese.
