The thing is we will have few hard years (check K-waves). USD is loosing it's value to EUR not because EUR is so good but because USD is even bigger trash than EUR. Advices are to buy gold/silver to prevent loosing your money, but that ship has already sailed. Crypto is strongly suggested as alternative to gold/silver and I agree with that but what I do not agree with is Bitcoin. Yea it has been titled as digital gold, but trust me, when shit hits the fan it will be worthless. People will want to buy/sell some of it and then they will realise how useless it is because of it's crippling speed. I suggest you invest some of your money in one coin with really good transaction speed and one with privacy features. I picked Stellar Lumen and Monero because I trust in what they represent. They are not full of BS marketing and they are not claiming to solve every problem like some coins. Stellar has great transfer speed and capacity and I like Monero as privacy coin.

Also I am sick of random coin/token shilling on this board, so if you want to contribute please use facts to explain your opinion. Do you think that Bitcoin is the best coin for next few years or some high speed/privacy coin and why?
Why the fuck does everyone spell "losing" wrong? It's so amazingly common and infuriating. "Losing" is suffering a loss "loosing" is when you release something.
Anyway, the USD is going down. Hyperinflation is a guarantee at this point. The Fed said they are setting higher inflation targets, but once it starts it won't stop. The only way to control inflation is to raise rates, but if they do that the stock market will crash and there will be cascading defaults. If the Dollar Milkshake Theory holds we will see fiat currencies around the world collapsing and people seeking refuge in the dollar. The dollar will appear to be stronger day by day until there are no other fiat currencies to fall, then the USD will crash for good.
If the theory doesn't hold we'll just see hyperinflation within 3 years. Either way, it's time to exit the dollar. Non-insiders should bail now, because the average person won't be able to time the collapse.
what about ZEC?
idk man, Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that normies have heard of, which makes me think it'll be more likely to stick around.
Stellar and Monero... Is this 2017? If Monero is traceable as has recently been announced (haven't read too much into it) then it might be a problem. Also being delisted from some exchanges could hurt short term but if SHTF then it could show its true worth. Stellar might have its day but I think you are naive to think some of the scams being shilled here don't have a future. Sure 90% will leave you broke but do some research. I've made more on link, pnk and rsr than I thought probable and just because I looked into them and they have a use case and aren't just offering crazy staking yield dividends or whatever the fuck is popular now. Sure btc is slow, but secure/liquid transactions will be a hot commodity as inflation rears its head. Don't sell your digital gold for lottery tickets.

You are wrong about Bitcoin. Bitcoin will become the new offshore bank account. You don’t need to do a ton of transactions per day, 7tx/s suits this purpose very well. It has the strongest computer network in the world by an order of 100 magnitudes and it is growing every single day. Layer 1 bitcoin will never be a transactional currency with bells and whistles like smart contracts, the purpose is to keep the attack vectors as small as possible. Reliability is what you want for savings and the Bitcoin network has 99.999999999999999% uptime. Its been down for a few hours in its entire lifetime and that was in 2010.
Maybe is great, but won't touch it because of this:
coindesk d0t com /jpmorgan-partners-zcash-team-add-enterprise-security
Will be like that till they try to use it and transaction tax and time goes through the roof
