ANONS!!! Remember to buy Debit Call Spreads on TQQQ for easy gains this week!!!! TQQQ goes up every week, and they'll continue to do so until there's a crash, but even if that happens it's okay!! TQQQ always corrects itself soon, so remember to buy cheapies!!!
Heh obviously you don't know what a REAL woman looks like.

I mean, nobody is saying you have to buy these. And on red days they tank, as expected. The only reason people are interested in these is that SPY/QQQ are broad index funds that go up over time no matter what the market is like. Unless there's a dotcom bubble. Sure, QQQ looks scary overextended. And that's fine. If you expect a correction on that, just go with SPY instead.
I'm just saying, it's a lot easier to make money on these instead of chasing singular stock gains which are admittedly a lot FASTER and a lot BIGGER but also a bit more DANGEROUS because you're going in on a singular entity/company.
I'm still kind of shocked how great Apple has become without Steve Jobs.
Still not buying their overpriced garbage though.
Ayden Turner
so you all are shilling QQQ & SPY LEAPS pretty strongly. Assuming you have the money to buy some: what's the actual argument for getting one? Time decay doesn't hurt them as much? I'm looking at some SPY DEC 2020 370 call. It's got a premium of $3,700, and if SPY gets to 370 by Sept 26 the call is up 16%, which sounds good to me. The only downside to buying this is a) I'm typing up a lot of money and b) the market tanks, which we are assuming it won't by Sept 26. and another thing, who the fuck is selling this call?
All this after hours pump on GME is on such low volume compared to the rest of today. Practically guaranteed to dump hard at open tomorrow - great time to buy more if anyone is looking
Are things like TQQQ and FNGU going to essentially always go up as long as tech doesn't get fucked hard by some random thing like covid? I know TQQQ splits but what about FNGU? And why did I just find out about FNGD today
Algos, hedge funds, vega hedges, call credit spread sellers, debit call spread buyers, regular investors/traders (like you and me), whales selling calls and buying them back whenever there's a small drawdown, other investors selling them to you (since they bought they earlier, before you, and are now selling for a profit) etc.
The market and its participants are made up of many. It's never a 1 way street.

LEAPs are just a quicker, riskier version of invest and hold with an expiration day. Money can be along various vectors. If you buy a call consider that money gone (i.e., don't go all in)

Is there any Cannabis business that’s not completely tanking?

the tech is too damn high, really not surprising we had a selloff today and wouldn't be surprised if it's the start of a correction. don't get greedy, everyone. stay safe, protect your capital.
>If you buy a call consider that money gone (i.e., don't go all in) This is semi-true but the only point in time you would've lost money with a 24+ month LEAP on QQQ would be if you bought it at the top of the dot com bubble, but at that point anybody buying in blindly to the frenzy all-in without realizing that it was a bubble got burned hard and deserved to get burned.
Right now, we have none of that.

Is there going to be another sell off tomorrow morning? Thinking I'll get out when markets open and then wait for cheapies with my gains
Ryder Perez
Why is everyone panicking over inflation? The fed announced it wanted inflation BECAUSE the fed is worried about deflation. What /smg/ should be doing is hedging against deflation.
>Is there any Cannabis business that’s not completely tanking? Seeing this too. What's behind it?
Adrian Roberts
What calls are you looking at? Those premiums are only like $1300, and also spy will probably be trading at 370 by October, go higher
Parker Perez
they always say this and they pump to prevent it, and the money winds its way into some new bubble when has there been actual deflation in the last fifty years?

Russia can buy Apple stock on the exchange starting Sept 7th. So perhaps they want the stock at this level to entice more investors that day.. Let the buying spree commence kinda deal. Hey works for me, green is green no mater who buys it.

>Cannabis bro it's not 2018 anymore. Irrc, aphria's the one that has its shit together and even then it'll only reach like ~600 million in annual revenue without actual profit every other quarter. That said, that's much better than all the other companies that have never had a single quarterly with profit. For a 1.79 billion.
Like jumping into GME even without the short squeeze is actually a much better buy with those numbers. GME is at 6 billion revenue so far this year with a market cap of 500 million. The only problem is its future growth and direction were so uncertain, but now there's hype behind it because of a single activist. I wouldn't long GME but you wouldn't be in danger with bagholding it even if the short squeeze failed.
if you are familiar with weedstock hype that started late 2017 then I'm sure you can recognize what's going on with GME right now
Isaiah Edwards
i guess the point is, it is likely to happen sooner rather than later. it's less that i want to short this and more that i want it to drop to a reasonable level that i can buy from again.
Austin Brown
give me the spreads to buy right now

I’m guessing it’s more lucrative to sell weed illegally on the streets. The taxes on them are absolutely insane.

I disagree strongly with that assessment. Some of the top-tier medical grade stuff I've used it far, far superior to reggies. But I like to vape and use edibles which helps accentuate the differences between strains. Reggie would taste like shit in a vape.
Anthony Fisher
I own some OGI, its been in decline since May of last year... But I think out of all the weed stocks it has the best chance of surviving and eventually turning a profit.

I still can't believe I jumped into weed stocks not knowing what the fuck DD was. ACB was basically my GNUS. I'm just glad I managed to break even at least.
