Supply crunch is NOW, HODL bros

I aint selling but I feel stupid for buying AG calls. Lesson learned back to physical for me.

See the DXY. USD, the world reserve currency, had a massive boost in value due to the Euro decreasing due to several reasons.

This is all temporary. In the coming months the DXY will continue to fall.

roll

So the milkshake theory wasn't rotten after all.

I bought silver!

Thanks. Just need to keep the hands strong

It looks like JP Morgan decided to give us a Labor Day Sale.

>DXY
Why do people use the DXY, which is over 50% just USDEUR, to analyze metals? What does the euro have to do with relevant dollar strength / weakness when the Eurozone is our economic bitch and their central banks copy ours anyways?

IMO we should at least use the trade weighted dollar index, and given that CAD and pesos are memes, just use USDCNY since 90% of our economically significant imports come from chinks.

No this only shows how metals behave with the USD during a normal market (USD goes up metals go down. Obvious stuff). No matter how bad it looks we're still in a normal market. No big economic disasters/events yet and a large group of people still believe everything will normalize by next year.

If things get pretty bad worldwide there is a pretty good chance that the milkshake will sour and people will flock to other assets instead.

Bunch of PMI numbers out of europe coming this morning. Those will probably determine short term direction on eurusd pair. DXY hesitating around 93 now.

>90% of our economically significant imports come from chinks
way overstated bro. Canada and Mexico are larger than Chinas market share

How was milkshake theory proven when the feds foreign swap lines were barely used and already back to zero? Where is the desperate demand for USD globally? Don't say China because they have more reserves than USD debts.

Deflation from tighter lending standards and public uncertainty seem like the only points for a stronger dollar, temporarily.

Looking at the trends the DXY should be on its way back down now. If it continues to 93.5 an above then metals are very fucked (at least in the short run).

schittlets seething

That's nice but it's not how metals trade. If there's nothing specific to supply/denand of metals happening at the moment they will more or less respond tick for tick to whatever the major usd pairs are doing. You can watch this happening in real time right now. Bring up silver cfds (non-delayed) and dxy or usdeur. Watch.

We have 70 billion trade deficit with Mexico
10 billion surplus with Canada

380 billion trade deficit with China.

Canadian and Mexican pesos are not in the DXY anyways; it's a meme.

>Where is the desperate demand for USD globally?
I'm not too sure

>Deflation from tighter lending standards and public uncertainty seem like the only points for a stronger dollar, temporarily.
I honestly don't see deflation coming. My future scenario is the governments inflating to absurd levels, letting the currencies fail, and then implementing a new digital currency (the ultimate plan and goal from the beginning).

the point went over your head. more goods of real value are exchanged between CAN-USA-MEX than about anywhere else. as a continent we can tell the rest of the world to fuck off

Aight you nerds, I want your feedback since I'm doing this literally all alone and in complete secret to everyone I know. When shit went down in march, I shat my pants and realised that if shit hit the fan I'd be helpless. So among other things like either investing my money or taking it out of the bank, I bought pms. Since then, I got my hands on
>4 gold ounce coins - a Krugerrand, a Philarmonica, an Australian one and a British one
>about 20 1g little bars, that I see as a complete waste of money but my reasoning was that them being smaller would facilitate a potential exchange for liquidity - still not sure I'm not just stupid for buying them
>approximately 3kg of silver, under the form of 5x 100g bars and the rest in coins
This representa about 30% of my total net worth if we don't count crypto, which is very volatile and not a good indicator for troubled times imo. How did I do?

>How did I do?
better than most people who dont have anything.
most people here will say get more silver but that's about my G/S ratio as well.

Hope you have at least a suicide stack in Link user. Other than that, you are doing well.
