very short term sqq, like a week or less to be safe.
Then when all the buy the dippers are pink wojaks, buy the bottom.
Alexander Evans
Will my TQQQ losses ever recover hahaha
Caleb Cruz
Yes, CFA is very highly valued and opens many doors. I don’t have one but got my current job by acing a very rigorous modeling test.
Brayden Harris
i will definitely be voting against biden america let me tell you that
Caleb Martin
It’s all about inside information from all angles. This or the flash boys who front run the retail investors upon big news.
Henry Jackson
>VIX keeps going back up every time I check NGMI
Julian Ross
I sold all my Tesla on Monday fearing choppy waters ahead and put it AAPL. How fucked am I? I thought I was heading to safe harbour, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Any feedback is appreciated. BTW I was thinking of just holding AAPL for like 5 years.
Kevin Jackson
Fuck it, I'm just going all into TD e-series. I just want slow and steady.
what expiration date for a week long hold option? 2 weeks?
Easton Reed
What gold miners are you excited about? Buy asap or wait?
Joseph White
The harsh reality of this market is when Trump exits office rather it be in January or 2024, the market is gonna dump like nothing you've ever seen. For a variety of reasons.
Hudson Powell
It's way safer than tsla
Austin Reyes
Not prepared for tommorow. RKT is now extremely undervalued as all hell and its going to get another dip because fuck the market.
Jose Clark
It's not delisted from my heart. Stupid ticker made me a mad amount of cash. Shame they did it dirty.
The Intelligent Investor and Margin of Safety (if you can find it online). Also read books covering basic macroeconomics like forex, global bond market, balance of trade, etc...
Jaxon Robinson
>I was thinking of just holding AAPL for like 5 years. Sell deep OTM covered calls and pretend it's a divvy stock
Asher Martinez
>variety of reasons you proved it to me, nice argument and post
Matthew Thompson
Anyone else been second jobing their stock trading lifestyle? From the time I get up to the time I go to bed I'm reading stock stuff. Lucky to work from home now, but that is going to end soon. Next week got to be at the office Wednesday thru probably the rest of the week. I should be trading. That is my destiny. Not this half life. Just need more money to make my dream real.
Blake Reed
>RKT legit didn't even check this today, died laughing after looking at it.
Austin Stewart
Emergent markets lose hella cheap
Are you betting on a correction in favor of emergent economies and small-caps? large caps historically under-perform but that hasn't been the case for the past decade.
Holy shit I sold some poor idiot my RKT at around 33.70 yesterday. Jesus Christ...
Brandon Barnes
AAPL will outperform QQQ but will still sell off. It trades at 8x+ sales when 5 year average is like 4x. There are better options IMO right now like Intel.
Chase Sullivan
>look Where?
Hunter Mitchell
Question about 3x leveraged ETFs. If I bought today, and I hold until it recovers to at least the price I paid for it, will I lose money due to decay?
Bentley Wright
The thing with all recovery stocks and etc. Is there is pent up demand that will surge into tourism, dining out, etc at some point.
After that bump though what happens. You can play the "bump" and sell after, or you hold through a bump, the sell off, and then have to hold it for the sustained recovery.
Either way. buy tech stocks.
Carter Perry
Buy ASAP, too hard to time the dips. KGC and EGO are rockets.
Chase Fisher
this picture is magnificent and im not even into feet like that
Tyler Barnes
Roger that anons. Logging off for the night good luck tomorrow, going to be fucking interesting.
Sebastian Barnes
Wtf happened today boyos?
William Mitchell
Yes assuming it only reaches the price you payed for it
Grayson Morales
Allow me to elaborate. 1. Trump is doing everything in his power to get this market pumped rather it be via money printing or through corporate confidence.
2. When a Democrat becomes president they are going to expect corporate tax hikes.
Either way Trump does not care what the economy does after he's out, once he's out the market will go into a depression when all of this artificial pump comes to an end.
Adrian Moore
keep my lulu calls? Expire on the 18 and earnings next friday.
You question makes no sense proving you shouldn’t even be trading these products.
Michael James
fintel.io/n/us/vrt looks like the only insider sales were one in 2018, and a holdings company called VPE just sold 20% of their shares. This is enough to say it's a bad stock?
>just short CVNA which is a no brainer. huh? what's so wrong with carvana?
So you're saying I shouldn't take profits on my QQQ put or my UVXY? How high can the vix go? How do you know when to take profits on shorts and shove it into longs?
so VXX calls? More Barrick, add Newmont And it isn't too late for QQQ puts?
I bought a call this morning, that's what happened.
Oliver Phillips
At that point AR-15s will be worth more than gold.
Jackson Hughes
Dems will be doing massive fiscal stimulus (much more inflationary) and top kek if you think they care about balancing the budget more than repubs. The corporate tax target by biden is lower than pre-trump target.
Ian Foster
Right now I have about 30% of my money in physical gold and silver and 10% in mining companies. What else do you recommend to balance it out? I have no idea what else to get so I was leaning towards extremely broad, equity based global indexes.
thats assuming the UNDERLING index (QQQ) only reaches the price at which you bought TQQQ. if you buy TQQQ at $105 and it dips to $55, and then it goes back to $105, you have lost zero dollars not counting inflation, just like any other ticker. if QQQ is at $200 and you buy TQQQ at $105, and then QQQ goes to $75, dragging TQQQ far down, when QQQ goes back to $200, TQQQ will not have recovered all the way back to $105 unless QQQ continues to pump higher
Cooper Roberts
I lost 5 grand today. Post some gore, boyos.
I have 33k sitting in my account from selling shit off a few weeks ago. Learned my lesson from March and haven’t bought anything yet.
Boring durable free cash flow companies will thrive. There are still certain Corona plays like JWN and DIN among others. Oil tankers are at or nearing bottom see DHT. Oil and gas might be near bottom but demand recovery is still bad. Magellan and Dorchester LP are good picks. REIT’s will look juicy soon but only if investment grade credit industrial and office single tenant or workforce housing. Self storage is a no brainer investment anytime it goes on sale which is like never...
Christian Ross
>no stimulus package >big unemployment numbers >2 months away from a possible democrat sweeping the election >people taking profits
Parker Torres
That's the day the people are starving so bad they will give all the guns they own for a weeks worth of food.
Jordan Bennett
Real advice
If you are just buying to hold 5-10 years, tomorrow is fine.
If you want to play for an extra few % then wait till tuesday but it's probably 50/50.
If you are buying on crazy margin just wait till a week from now and don't mind paying up.
Aiden Smith
Never gonna FOMO again without stop losses, pretty fucking pissed honestly
Zachary Kelly
Reminder that 100 years of market history have proven over and over again that the markets do not give a SHIT about who wins the presidential election. But shares from boomer midwits that get duped (again) into selling before an election.
Adam Morgan
Im not a Democrat so don't use that as an argument against mine. >the footfag also like trannies Color me surprised.
Nathan Ramirez
there are trans people that pass lol
Blake Collins
No, LULU hit peak. Great company but nosebleed valuation.
Kekkies. Never buy options. Theta and expiry date will shaft you almost every time.
Brody Allen
From bubble thread... I want tesla, amazon, apple, Big pop coming but from the bubble chart it seems theyll be a bull trap after this and pop down to where you came from lol
We aren't gonna V twice. Either things bounce back by next week or it's game over.
Samuel White
Awesome thanks man. Picked up the Intelligent Investor last week off Amazon. Will look into the others after I'm done. Guess I'll ask another if you don't mind: when a fund purchase a large amount of stock (>1 million worth) do you purchase them in small chunks? Would there EVER be a case where a fund decided to market buy a ton of stocks?
CVNA founding family are criminals, Garcia’s. Insiders dumped $200m in shares simultaneously and Garcia’s have filed to liquidate all their holdings of like 1/4 of market cap in Q4. There is potentially market manipulation going on too. They lose more and more money each quarter it’s all smoke and mirrors, they are paying $2-3k above other companies like KMX at auctions.
Nathan Taylor
Not how decay works. If you hold until your entry price and sell, you get your money back. Decay is when the underlying goes down 3.333% and the 3x leveraged, which we'll say is worth $100, goes down around 10%. 3x leveraged then resets for the next day at $90. Underlying goes up 3.3333% next day and 3x leveraged goes up 10% from that morning's price to $99. So even though the underlying erased its loses the 3x leveraged is still down a dollar.
Carter Parker
AMZN is too diversified to be a bubble. AAPL and TSLA are memes.
>twice I'm seeing at least six big Vees since the March bottom.
Jason Edwards
Buy DHT and BTI and INTC.
Sebastian Gutierrez
AAPL is the original tech cult though. All other tech frauds always cite Steve Jobs as inspiration. If you view AAPL as just a consumer electronics company, then the margins and valuation come back from orbit. They don't give a SHIT about innovating. It will always be packages of overpriced hardware that you pay a premium for the brand name. TSLA is a meme though.
Carson Flores
>circumcised So close....
Asher Anderson
We heard u the 1st time
Christopher Parker
Shit, dude. That looks awful. I think I once lost 10k in a day, but the whole account value was around 30k or so
>extremely broad, equity based global indexes. I mostly sit in /pmg/, so you might have say my posts from earlier today. I'm in iron miners, agricultural commodities, a wee bit of defensive picks and consumer staples (and BRK.B and TGT which seems too high). There's the most miniscule position in inflation indexed bonds, and then the only other thing I can think of would be some targeted global (consult 13f fillings) and maybe, just maybe insurance brokers, not carriers, brokers.
