Fuck no you don't. The distribution center isn't anywhere near any walmart store. They have their own designated locations. They're hiring like crazy in and around the Gulf area after hurricanes shut down a few distro centers.
They're also hiring like crazy for distro centers around California because some California centers aren't allowed to reopen.

Yes to answer your question. You earn anywhere from 18.50-$21 starting depending on shift and position desired. They give you a quota to meet for the day and if you hit anywhere from 101-130% you get 1-30% more on your check for being over goal. Most people are over 100%, you have to be pretty lazy not to. I'd say it's an average of 115% of goal, so around $24 or so an hour.
Yes, it's pretty hard to fuck up. You just drive something like this and stack shit.

I was an OTR driver, people complain walmarts always take their max unload time (3 or 4 hours)...but d/c's arent that bad from the other side. Seems like your yard guys get raped with work, and it wasnt really worth it for hour, but good on your warehouse slaves

Yes, cold has a pay bump. I forget exactly what it is. The best place to be is an order picker though. They get $1.30 more an hour. (see the range I posted earlier)

pick sucks ass at most places, probably not as bad when dealing with full pallets. I did cherry picking in a warehouse full of beaners, dont recommend.

I hate the fact these retards make so much money, they can’t even load a truck properly. They do stupid shit like put cases of motor oil over cases of glass pasta sauce bottles, put pallets half way through a truck blocking the freight behind, putting long boxes sandwiched between small ones.

Work at the distribution center if you’re brain dead and can’t play with legos at over $20 an hour, and when my trucks show up fucked, I’ll make damn sure I have your job and linkies for it.

I have yet to fuck up my tetri stack because our pallets get audited.

I design warehouses and make $80/hr you guys are nothing more than numbers in my spreadsheet I use for forecasting revenue and capital expense. Our fully burdened labor rate is $25 meaning you guys get paid $18. Turnover is over 100% with COVID - you lazy fucks were tired of working while your poor friends got paid to stay home. Get your temp checked at the door and only piss on your aloted 15 minute breaks you wagies. The work is mind numbing and you're surrounded by degreeless immigrants who work harder than you making you realized you wasted your white privilege and are a failure.
