-ppl who want to do tax fraud since blockchain analysis softwares are becoming more and more popular, crypto will not be the wild west it is today and soon the IRS will look further into defi on ethereum
-ppl seeking fast and low-cost stablecoin transactions, ethereum gas is getting insanely expensive and I’m not holding my breath for eth 2.0
-Whales who don't want to be caught transferring funds from one exchange to another (chain analysis algos give good alphas, believe it or not...)
-criminals, drug cartels don't like using XMR because they don't want to be exposed to its volatility so they need a private stablecoin and xUSD is the only one

No Haven is a monero fork, an independent chain. You can buy XHV on centralized exchanges, transfer it to your haven "vault" (download it on havenprotocol.org) and then you can mint xUSD (xGold and xBTC are coming soon). Haven uses chainlink oracles to "know" XHV or gold price
I wish they had not to do it but that's kind of necessary, there is no premine, no ICO, no VC backing — the devs don't have millions to invest in marketing or an exchange listing. They have shown to be able to deliver a truly innovative product and they can't dump on you
