I wasn't here earlier, so AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Facts about the market -A dollar is NEVER worth less than a dollar, only equal or more -The bottom line value of ALL companies is PE minus speculation -The top line value of ALL companies is PE plus speculation -You are somewhere between these two metrics -A decreasing PE does not automatically mean a lower share price, EPS*PE, 2.5*50=125, 4*35=140 -Retail investors are automatically priced in and adjusted for by institutions, and never play a functional role in the value of a company -We are currently 20%-30% above historic PE for the entire market, however this historic PE has an element of speculation, and the current PE obviously does as well so this cannot be looked at without quantifying sentiment/speculation -Institutions are using GPT-3+ to run natural language processing and machine learning in order to quantify the qualitative nature of sentiment/speculation -Without giving yourself an adequate time span to deal with this you WILL lose more than you win -If you aren't learning neural networks at this exact moment you are absolutely lying when you say you have an idea of what a stock will look like tomorrow, 6 months from now, 5 years from now -The PE of entire sectors/markets move in related ways -Meme lines are literally just a post-priori representation of the value adjustments relating to PE+Speculation, and are not in any way shape or form crystal balls -There is multiple times over enough cash to pump the DOW to 50k, institutions simply choose not to

Tesla is FUCKED. Next support is $210ish. Get out while you can.
Stop tricking people into buying a falling guillotine..
This is not about futures. As long as DXY is on a tear upwards, the market is NOT recovering. Stop looking at NQ futures and look at the fucking DXY. Cheers.
Ok so. Long dated calls? Thoughts on a apple 180$ call for 2022. I mean short of the world collapsing how does this go wrong. Help me understand options.

prices go up when the value of the dollar falls because you lose money while holding cash, so any appreciating asset is a hedge against inflation. If USD goes up 1% in a day as it did last week, securities prices fall, therefore you make money by selling (in very loose terms). You can then choose to buy back in with a dollar that's worth more.
Samuel Collins
Give me one good reason you’re not all in on Home Depot?

lol. not just casting, but actual storyline requirements.
they used to just call it oscar bait, now it's an oscar requirement.
you can bet money that storylines about jews count, still.
Save your AAAAAHHHHHs for later, they're a rare commodity. Some day in the future you might be really really perturbed but have spent your last drop of AAAAAAHHHHHHs. Then you'll look back on this thread and regret the foolishness of youth.

WAKE ME UP, WHEN SEPTEMBER ENDS!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
There is a big diff between aapl and some random stock. People will pay a premium regardless for AAPL. I doubt any top tech stock drops much further just because the demand is high regardless of valuation. People will wait.
Luis Clark
This is why NASDAQ is up 80 points right now

Hope you bought everything you could today, because tomorrow is gonna be green all day. There will probably be some big upward swings tonight before open.

AAPL is currently the most highly valued company in the world at $1.93T. Do you think that in 10 years it will still be that valuable? Historically the answer is probably not. I'd rather go with something like 2021 125c since it's hit that price already, and the call will have better delta/gamma values, meaning you can make profit faster if your goal is swingtrading. Since you're going with 180c, I'm guessing that's the lowest priced call at that date that you can afford, yes? Never buy a call specifically because you can afford that one, you will always get fucked.
Bentley Wilson
There aren't 50 GPU companies or 50 EV companies. Supply is limited in the best sectors.
Not a lot of megacap tech stocks to choose from so if your idea of the future involves them being dominate you will pay premiums.
This doesn't mean anything about fair value. Just how the market will behave, because good ideas are scarce and good companies scarce.
Oliver Evans
The fact that bears are on parade and bulls are are freaking out or nowhere to be found tells me this is the bottom for this dump. Every single time you see bulls on parade and no bears at all, a dump commences. There's ALWAYS some bears hanging around swearing a dump is coming, but when the despair sets in you won't see them and bulls get full of themselves. Well we're seeing the flip of that. Bears on parade and bulls all in hiding. This is the bottom.
Caleb Watson
I just want this week to be over.
Owen Cooper
I remember someone posting a screenshot of r/investing or something and the OP was talking about how yesterday was a good time to buy into tech stocks
remember that Citi, GM and Exxon were all the most valuable companies in the world at one time. Apple will join their ranks soon enough.

i've your /smg/ thread still open so i can go back and screenshot it. you'll live on forever, user
p.s. don't kill yourself..
Oliver Scott
>-Institutions are using GPT-3+ institutions are always wasting money on stupid shit. Knowing the sentiment of idiots on stocktwits won't help you predict market movements. you don't need neural networks to figure out the sentiment of a /smg/ thread. while a sentiment indicator of each community may be a curious project, it won't help you make money. sentiment is a very weak indicator. also there is already a private neural network that gets 100% returns a year. I'd bet it's not using sentiment
Hunter Jones
I am so margined that I'm going to have a margin call if we aren't green tomorrow.
So yes I bought the dip.
Cooper Allen
What did HR say user? You lose your job?
Jacob Gonzalez
Try it for yourself on any stock of your choosing, almost certainly the stock is within pennies of the outcome.
Andrew King
Apples dump from the top in the 1st day was the same value loss as all of Exxon today.
That’s how overvalued this zoomer pos is
Wyatt Ortiz
Thank you. And yes. It was decently cheap and using the profit calculator it didn't seem to have to go up much to be able to sell it for profit. I don't see apple going away in the next two years tho really. Thanks for the input and I'll keep that in mind. It would only be my third option so yeahhhhh it's alot to take in
Christian Russell
If you're going that heavily on highly speculative tech stocks, sell TSLA WKHS DPHC & SQ, cut QQQ down to 20%, then put the money you got from all that into ARKK. It's basically the same thing but managed by people who have a much better idea of what they're doing than either of us, will limit your exposure to things like TSLA but still enable you to get gains from them. Put the rest into a variety of non-tech to prepare for coming vaccine news. Probably should wait till friday at close to make any large purchases, I would also buy a small position in UVXY to be sold no later than Sep 18
Aaron Barnes
You're totally misunderstanding the methodology, you're stuck in the state of mind of a retail trader. You're just a value, among many many other values. It's much different than using sentiment as a catalyst.
Colton Price
>tfw everyone is telling me to buy the dip but I used $1000 on Thursday and $1000 on Friday and now I’m all out of expendable money and my stocks keep tanking
