Yeah, it is definetly enough for an average middle class lifestyle if you are able to get 4% interest from it and are not a big spender and nothing crazy happens. After Kapitalertragssteuer that should leave you with 30k, or 2500 per month after tax. You would have to pay health insurance and that's pretty much it.
And then invest your time into something useful. Really makes you think how poor the average German really is. And like you said, it's pretty hard to get something going here.
