It's not unwise to save money in a normal savings account. That being said, you can get better interest rates on crypto coins than real money, including sovereign or stable coins. If she takes no effort to understand the new technology, then her view cannot be considered valid. So you are saving for your future.

Explain to her that you do care about finanical wellbeing of your family (as opposed to being a degenerate gambler, which at least to some extent we all are) and that that's why you do crypt. Yes it's risky, but waging and bankaccount saving isn't wwat it used to be anymore as well. The idea that putting your wage leftovers on a bank makes a good sustainable financial future is past. You're basically doing what people in America in the 1890's where doing when they were going around looking for oil & gold as opposed to picking corn in a field.
Also, this you need to have a 'together' account where you always put the minimum money for your part of the rent (or mortgage, whatever) and groceries. And make her understand and commit that any of your money that doesn't go in there is 100% yours and she has no say at all over what you do with that

In my case f.e. we both put 40% of our income in an acount that pays for all house stuff, groceries, insurance and all of these kind of things.
