I was having financial issues and needed the money and I had contributed to it for about 10 years and got a good amount in there. I had no other income because I lost my job. Like a month later Trump signs that there is no penalty for withdrawing early (normally there is, and it's very steep). I'm so fucking mad

here's what you do. I've done this, I've had friends who do this, and it works every time.

Firstly, fill all the gaps on your resume with anything. If they spot a gap, you're fucked. Make up a fake sole proprietorship if you have to, or just say you worked with the company longer than you thought.

Second, on your cover letter, gas yourself up as much as you can. If you can unironically straight-facetly write that you are "beyond qualified" for a position for which you will be "the most productive employee to ever fulfill the role of", that will actually catch some eyeballs.

a friend with no experience in IT got a job paying $60k/year as an IT guy by doing exactly that. Gas yourself up and play hard.

It's an incentive scheme that pays the company an initial bonus and repeated yearly bonuses for hiring and keeping a worker who falls under a protected class. This is also mixed with the fact that a diverse workforce is less likely to work together in regards to signing up for unions or combating management. It's fairly similar to when people claimed to have a 'female friend' or 'black friend' also, as it allows them to refute remarks on them being sexist/racist.

You can bypass it though, personally got my role primarily because I played up a mild disability that I was misdiagnosed with at a young age.

Your best option is to state you have a disability on your resume, play up the fact you are disabled. Companies see this as a money making opportunity as you are then effectively giving the company a bonus if they hire you, regardless of how you perform.

My current workplace features is primarily focused around females and those with disabilities, we have a few black staff members but they are always disabled mentally as the company wised up to how non-mentally handicapped blacks would play the race card constantly to get out of doing tasks.

I made an LLC and I'm technically a travelling salesman, I don't close any deals as I am awful at my job but at least I can claim 20% back as business expense on nearly anything as everything I do is a business expense, maybe one day I'll close some sales.. :)
