I was 14 when it happened, and I'll never forget that day
I'm not even American, I'm a black guy in the Caribbean
Was in school when the news broke, and they temporarily paused all classes to explain to the kids what was going on, and to play the news coverage on TV in a few classes
Shit didn't get real to me until I went home later that day to watch TV....only to find out that damn near ALL the TV channels suspended their programming and acknowledged the attacks
You KNOW something fucked up really happened when it stops Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon

It was quite the kodak moment.

I've never talked to him about that story but its always been a funny thing in the back of my head. He probably got so upset because he knew that the attack would mean him getting activated and deployed and missing out on childhood moments with us kids. He tried his best to make up for it, and I love him tons
