sentinel admin on telegram confirmed the v3 desktop client release will happen in the next 30 days:
The Sentinel V3 update will feature fully rebuilt clients along with a microservices architecture that will allow for dApp developers to integrate the Sentinel dVPN into their distributed and decentralized application via an API, it will also feature an inbuilt cosmos wallet which will allow staking and delegation, its the final step before main net launch
A critical update from SENT, the previous monolithic structure of the Sentinel desktop client has been split into a microservice architecture based backend and front-end
spidervpn users will be able to remotely access the #dVPN on their router
In the previous client, the UI and the application logic is in the same desktop client codebase which has been written in ReactJS.
There was no ability for other applications to integrate with the Sentinel dVPN network or for users to remotely manage their dVPN client
The new client features a binary file which starts a API server that allows for the UI to be imported from anywhere in the subnet.
On top of this binary anyone can write their own custom UI and also integrate dVPN and Sentinel account into their own app through the API server
What does this mean?
1) Remote management of Sentinel dVPN present in home router/raspi 2) Ability for enterprises/organizations to build applications ontop of the Sentinel network with dynamic UI that is maintained from their own server (users do not need to download a new installer for a UI update) 3) Ability for other applications to integrate Sentinel dVPN services and account system into their application
Sent has x6 in few months, i think the next releases will pump us past 70 sats

explain this like im 5

"Sentinel is a dVPN net its not a single dvpn"
dVPN-net is a network of networks
sentinel is many vpns
sentinel decentralizes: -the back end (by letting anyone host a node) -the front-end (by letting anyone build on top of the open sourced apps and the network)
sentinel goal is to have hundreds of VPNs built upon it with many payments options, languages and different set of features , anybody can easily become a VPN provider without the need to own hardware, and given the decentralized nature of the whole system you will never have any legal problems by launching your sentinel based app
I've heard cosmos are going to be buying into Sent for mainnet?

I know. But I am not smart enough to buy on such Alpha. I am in the decay horizon right now due to the marco picture. 2021 will be nice. Right??
Grayson Barnes
Noob here. I use the app and got here through your telegram. What the in darn is a suicide stack? I don't actually own any sent can I buy it on the Atomic wallet?
Isaiah Ward
Back on the trend. Someone needs to market buy here or we are fkd.

Trying to get cheap senties like me?

its what they shared in sent tg, its probably one of the most convenient locations for VPNs, this was some months ago tho , so they might have changed location
SENT is a staking token, when main net will launch q4 this year , you will be able to stake your coins and earn yearly yield of 15-25% in exchange for securing the chain, yield will vary depending on which validator you choose to delegate your tokens, some will have higher fees for higher security some the opposite.
SENT is also a payment token for the dVPN and a governance token for upgrades and management of the community pool (which one day might be worth millions like dcr or cosmos pool).
SENT dVPN nodes will also be able to stake SENT on their node as a trust bond to ensure quality of service to customers (and for subscriptions).
SENT staked will also earn you part of the revenue from the dvpn nodes (they will have a service , maintenance and network tax imposed on them it will be minimal and they will still be much cheaper then centralized competitors)
there will be various other secondary usecases and products launched on sent own chain that will produce continuous revenue, for example an internal dex to allow anybody to pay for the dVPN in any token.
probably you will also be able to pay data centers to host a node for you and get the profit generated in return, this way any sent holder will be able to become a vpn provider
