Doing some math, buying up enough land in Oklahoma for a small farm will cost about half a million dollars. This doesn't include equipment costs and other capital you need.

when they came to america and got free land we were an undeveloped wasteland. thats why they called it the "frontier" or "wild west". if you want the same circumstance they had then move to africa or south america. the quality of life and land there is very similar to the era of america you are speaking of.

Apart from a few of those pics (although you would need to evaluate closer), most of that land can't be used as farmland. The one's in Nevada are basically desert. The one's in the top row look pretty interesting however but would again require closer analysis.

A civilization that's capable of lasting has built into some checks and balances.
In the 1800s US, the checks vs. balance was the ability to move Westward. A city no longer offered a good deal on wages vs. rents --- well you can jus homestead some land somewhere else. This acted as a kind of countervailing force and allowed both city and rural life to be reasonably fair.
America ran out of room in the late 1800s.
In the 1940s the effects of winning WW2, the prolonged cold war with the USSR requiring investment in R&D, the Rooseveltian "New Deal legislation" allowed ordinary people (even brainlet boomers) to have a decent life.
What we have now is a situation where the post WW2 deal has been rolled back AND we don't have any room to expand into. This will probably not end well.
