My only thoughts on this topic is I knocked up my girlfriend (on purpose) and the only reason we haven't married is because in my state it's basically free for her to have the baby. If we were married, my insurance would have to pay for every doctor's visit and the delivery. Which actually means I would have to pay a huge co-pay.

So no, not a good financial decision. Only marry a girl if she stays with you after you have abused her. It means she's there to stay.
