What's the best gambling game to get good at? inb4 some flavor of trading, I'm talking about actual games
Which one has the best learning curve/potential gains ratio? Which one makes it easier to win as consistently as possible?
What's the best gambling game to get good at? inb4 some flavor of trading, I'm talking about actual games
>Which one makes it easier to win as consistently as possible?
yeah that's how casinos operate. fucking retard
Counting cards. Ezpz
casinos are made because people don't understand math
Blackjack is easiest to gain a consistent edge on via card counting.
Altcoins
poker is the only one you can actually win overtime, although it's not as easy as you may think
>I am literally unable to grasp nuance because I'm a fucking moron
No fucking shit casinos have an edge on the player you dumb fucking faggot, that's not what I'm asking about.
Haven't most casinos taken measures against counting?
yeah, I'm the dumb one
Glad you realized
Sports. If you know you’re shit you have better yields than stocks
Poker. It’s the only one that you don’t play against the house. Using probability and a little math you can come out ahead in the long run.
baccarat
if you believe you can beat the bookies in the long term without building a stastics model you're a fucking retard
Poker (and variants)
And then blackjack (with a lot of study)
you'll never make any serious money, but you'll get to flex on your friends at the casino when you're up a bit and they're all btfo'd
Bet big money on college football underdogs and when you hit the one that puts you in profit, walk away a happy man.
Poker against humans.
Blackjack is a possibility but it takes an ability to keep a large amount of info in your head to do it well, and most decent sized casinos will catch you long before you make any serious money. They won’t beat the shit out of you any more but they will ban you from their table games (I know both first hand).
Poker take a bit more learning and practice but getting good enough to take pots off a table full of chumps if easy. Even more so since poker surged in popularity, the number of people who think they are good because they won a tournament in a bar somewhere like Muncie Indiana has skyrocketed.
Pretty much this. I used to bet on sports and only made long-term profit on obscure soccer leagues in europe, and im talking israeli womens league and icelandic 4th divisinon obscure.
only reason i had an edge is because i and others in my group got together and researched info that bookmakers simply didnt have time to. you aren't gonna win shit betting on epl nfl nba etc, you have to put the work in and find value in the places where bookmakers have priced things incorrectly.
UCD Waves womens soccer team was arguably the sports bet of the century, and it unfolded on the /bet/ general in /sp/
>Haven't most casinos taken measures against counting?
This is a meme created by the people selling the card counting "systems" as it doesn't actually work well enough to give you an advantage on the house. Casinos don't really give a shit.
Baccarat, I work at a casino. It's basically a guessing game but you can bet on the dealer or yourself so it's the only game where it's possible to win every time.
if you can beat 1/2 or 1/3, you can make like $15/hr, which is mediocre. Moving up to the next level at 2/5 is where things get juicy because you can make $30/hr+, and the levels keep going from there
The crazy thing is, the hardest barrier to overcome is beating 1/2. Once you can do that it doesn't take too much more to move up again.
Soon youll have VIDYA
Moneyline erodes most profits. Even if you can see the future and know game outcomes, the house can to and bets are structured that way. The big money is parlays but that's unpredictable.
user is correct casinos don't give a shit. How many decks do they use? Mine uses 8 decks, most of the time - good luck counting that shit.
The IQ required to count 8 stacks would be far better off just staying to traditionel business and investment.
There's automatic card shufflers now, which shuffles the cards automatically all the time to prevent that. You have 0 chance of predicting a high or low card nowadays
>Poker against humans.
As opposed to what? Online poker?
A casino will ban you as soon as you start making money and not losing it so there is really no point.
Either this is bait or your 60iq counting 8 decks is the same as 1 you just have to divide your count by the shoe to get your true count
No, it isn't. The edge from counting comes from when the proportions of remaining cards diverge significantly from their original distribution to make the original odds wrong. As you add more decks, the proportion of time spent in a state where the proportion is sufficiently divergent, and equivalently the average divergence, is far lower. Adding decks doesn't just make counting harder, it actually reduces the expectation of counting even if you are perfect
Poker. It's the only game where the house doesn't have an edge over you. It's you vs other people. Not you vs the casino.
I know pro gamblers who average 60% winnings and are millionaires.
Wrong. Suckers parlay
