I am just skeptical of this being a massive issue because of the phrasing that it is “safe under a nonstandard probabilistic ...” or whatever it was. It sounds a bit like one of those things that are academic circlejerking not an actual issue when looking at it practically. QRD on what this actually means, bigbrain anons? What is the worst case attack with this, and what are the conditions to make it happen?
