Personally, weed has done all of the following for me: helps me sleep, makes me more creative, makes me happy as fuck, turns entertainment (movies, tv, music, a play) up to a level you can't experience without being high, relaxes me when I'm stressed, and it's usually very fun to do socially.
So I get it if you want to stay away from the stuff, but don't hate on something you don't understand.
