Funky fungi grower here: Growing mushrooms is very space intensive and you won't be able to grow large quantities without having a warehouse. Though mushroom growing on scale is actually very very profitable.

But who do you sell to that is willing to buy in bulk? Are there pharmaceutical companies that will buy in bulk right now? For food mushrooms it seems like they dont have a long shelf life so the only option I can see is selling to local restaurants but convincing them to buy from some rando seems like it would be a tough sell.

As the psilocybin does not degrade readily when dried, bulk is viable. Finding a buyer though, could be troublesome.

Food mushrooms are in insanely high demand, sell them at a farmer's market or something similar and you'll be raking in cash. People really love food mushrooms. Most sorts are also very easy to grow.

The demand for psychedelic mushrooms will never be saturated because of how much space you need and the ekspertise needed (the simple fact that you need to be clean and watchful is enough to discourage 99% of drug users from ever doing it). I agree with selling magic mushrooms in bulk is the way to do it. The profits won't make you a drug kingpin or nothing but it's a nice side income.
Regarding food mushrooms see my first response and know that there are ways to store fresh mushrooms effectively for more than a week if you control for humidity (not that hard to do but you have to be careful and not a complete brainlet). As for selling psychedelic shrooms in bulk you just need to get in touch with a dealer, trust me on this one, dealers have no way of getting enough magic mushroom to meet demand.

This is the case for a small time dealer who doesn't understand his clientele. This problem is generally why hippies and drug nerds are the ones who are able to be in the psychedelics business long term.

For a first-timer, 5 is enough to do it.
The first time I ate mushrooms, I had no idea how much I had, so I ate the entire bag. I later found out that the bag had contained just under 10 grams. I would not recommend that other people do this their first time.

FIRST RULE: buy a scale and do it gradually. SECOND RULE: have fun.

Start with cakes, google PF Tek, will get you familiarized and good way to get a personal supply with no experience. Move on to bulk tubs as soon as you can.

If you have like $350 or so I recommend you bite the bullet and build a HEPA flow hood for clean agar transfers. That's gonna be down the road some though.
