My online store has been doing good but the last 2 months I've gotten like 0 sales.
I constantly advertise the site on normiebook, my items are quality, there's tons of items on the site, and it's all good prices.
Why arent people buying my stuff :(
How do I make sales
How do I make more sales
I love swan herpes. Great book.
What do you sell
How has your store been doing good if you've had no sale for the past 2 months?
what do you sell OP
Pain
wat
why are these so god-tier
Halloween decorations, costumes, makeup, things like that
It was doing really good before that and I went to a flea market and made close to 1000 dollars selling halloween props/decor
why would I buy from you when I can buy the same furniture from alibaba probably cheaper
There's the fucking problem, your market is too niche. Start advertising to specific circles or broaden what you sell.
I don't sell furniture, some of my items are incredibly rare and I am literally the only store that currently sells some of the items. ie: sinister pumpkin prop made by seasons (discontinued item)
It is a niche market. I do advertise to specific circles. Guess I need to broaden
What’s your payment processor? I only use eBay and Amazon because it seems like whenever I use Any other site my cc info is stolen
>I constantly advertise the site on normiebook, my items are quality, there's tons of items on the site, and it's all good prices.
You've been undercut by either Google or Amazon. Their bots have picked up what you were doing, replicated it, and left you out in the cold by undercutting you.
you could use stripe
I'm on Ebay and my main website is run on Weebly on a business plan.
:_( nooo but I have better items! I have THE MOST rare items you will ever see. See pic related. This item has not been manufactured for at least a decade.
Have you opened up an Etsy? Try finding fb groups full of middle-aged to elderly women and manually post there with links to your store.
Do you target audiences on facebook? May need to change the parameters of your sales targets. Think about the mental state of people on FB. They are there for quick and steady shots of dopamine. Your advertisement should evoke one of these shots. They should feel like they NEED whatever you are offering to them, and not only that, IT'S A GOOD DEAL THAT ENDS SOON! Put a bit of pressure on making the decision NOW, for something they feel that they NEED, when they are completely jacked on dopamine and ready to hit that clickbait.
I tried when I was a minor a few months ago (im 18 now) and they didnt let me, I havent raelly tried to yet. Not a fan of Etsy because of that. I am in lots of FB groups for halloween and haunted stuff, I'm pretty sure like 90% of my sales are from people seeing my posts in those groups.
I don't actually use the paid ads on facebook I just advertise in groups like said
You should give it a shot, but do research on how it all works beforehand. Paying for advertising is like burning money if it doesn't work. If you target the right audience, sales will come, but you also would need to raise your prices to compensate for advertising cost.
Sadly it happens a lot. Amazon is specially notorious for doing this shit, taking products from the third party sellers and putting them on their lists if they're doing well, but Google does this shit as well. Just look up stories from people whose shops suddenly go to zero. It's disgusting.
Yeah I could look at the demographics of my customers too and use those when i buy an ad.
That's fucking horrible. I really wish our government would do something to break up these giant corps.
But Amazon will never have pic related on their site.
do you make them yourself? is this why amazon wont have "pic" ?
No I do not make them myself, they are very old discontinued props
May I offer a suggestion? Get a hot girl to post with your items. Pay some broad $100 and update all your pictures.
That's an interesting idea and I might actually do this. Should I just post a craigslist ad?
I ran an online store too for retro games, this was back 5 years ago when the market was way better.
I asked some friends if they knew a girl who would be interested in posing with my video games I was selling, and I paid her $50 and had about a 2x sales rate.
On a good week I would sell about 10~ games, but after I got her to pose with them like Vanna White I sold about 30~ per week.
If you use craigslist they will probably not be that good, maybe ask friends or family first?
The biggest hassle is I had to update about 2000~ pictures or so. Because I'm a brainlet with code I just did it manually. I suspect you will have to do the same unless you know how to write some kind of script.
You say you are 'advertising', does that mean you are just posting on your facebook page or in groups? or are you actually running paid advertising on fb/ig or google?
Is your website conversion rate optimized? Are you doing SEO?
Have you thought to hire halloween influencers / horror movie influencers / make up influencers to promote your brand?
What are you currently doing for digital marketing and what are your KPIs?
Did you ask her to dress up scantly clad? Or just normal clothes
Not paying for ads, just posting things for sale in groups.
I am doing SEO i dont know what conversion rate optimized means
I have not thought of influencers
I don't know what a KPI is or how to answer the other part.
KPI - key performance metrics. What's your conversion %, how much traffic to your site per month, click through rates on posts, etc.
Conversion rate optimization means if your store has a 3% conversion rate, with CRO the goal is to get that up to 5-10%. The easiest way to make more money is to up the rate of conversion. If you get 1000 visitors per month and sell 100, you will make more money by getting that to 200 people then getting 10000 visitors per month.
If you are just posting on social media then organic reach is really low. Groups are alright, you could even make your own facebook group.
Look into lead magnets and conversion rate optimization. If you were to link your store i'd look at it and give some advice but id understand if you don't want to do that.
This is all really confusing :(
it's eekproductions.com I just hope the mods dont ban me for advertising or whatever
Feel free to reach out to me on the contacts page. It sounds like youre speaking a foreign language to me haha
Coronachan is probably the problem. Try and target college students who don't give a fuck about social distancing. Sell slutty stuff. Sex will sell even in a pandemic
nice buisness but your website design is trash
