We obviously have different ideas about what utility is. In the real world, utility means something has use. In your world, utility seems to mean hype. ALGO doesn't really have hype, but it is no shit being used en masse. Contrary to RLC, which is potential use, or yf clones, which have utility of a kind, like sucking up gambling money. original node relay program, dutch auction, and VC seed rounds had the circulating supply inflating at a ridiculous rate (for crypto) for the first two years. In january (starting feb) they updated tokenomics, that's why you got the small pump before corona. We're finally at a point were supply inflation is no longer ridiculous compared to overall circulating cap. You have to consider that there's a risk-free interest rate to algo (staking rewards) which is around 5% apy right now

algo mobile wallet, seed phrase stored in a safe place. Personally hold a lot so using a multisig with three seed phrases split up in different places. It's pure proof of stake, so arguably fairest protocol out there (some say nodes don't have proper incentives, but bandwidth and cpu are dirt cheap nowadays)

It's a poor argument alone, but when you consider that Algo is providing the backend for a small nation's CBDC, you should be able to put two and two together. Marshall Islands is also a former US territory, if they have good things to say about the Algorand blockchain, I definitely see larger western nations giving it a go.
