There was some other user a couple of days ago who shilled the xDAI ecosystem and the Honeyswap exchange here. I am very grateful to whoever that was.
user, get on xDAI, it is incredible. You can trade like on Uniswap, only you pay 1ct per transaction and they are incredibly fast - no more timeouts after 30min, no more $10 buys for $200 worth of tokens.
Why the fuck cant bitcoin devs do something like that? Why is there nothing being built on btc???? Are there any active devs still there? Every fuvking day I have to see the dominance sliding while ETH is having 7 new anniuncements? UNI stimulus was just too much
Colton Cooper
IDK, honestly. I came to crypto in 2013 and BTC was about as alive as ETH is right now - news everywhere, good mood, optimism.
That changed around 2018 when the war between Core and BCH and later BSV poisoned everything. Core developers became retarded and just froze layer 1 to push their semi-centralize Lightning, and the other camps either want absolutely nothing changed (BCH) or are owned by a fraud (BSV). ABC seems similar to BSV in that regard.
I sold my BTC and switched to ETH, painful as it was, but I feel BTC is completely ossified and will never get back the spirit it once had. Many in the Bitcoin camps are just bitter old men who will not look over the fence, ever.
About xDAI and Honeyswap: obviously the thing is just getting started, it's a 1:1 clone of uniswap and it shows. There is only a handful of tokens bridged (like LINK and COMP) so you can trade them on both sides.
But volume is rising (even though it's still very low) and in general, mood is high in the xDAI camp. Could be we are indeed early here.
Small overall, but since there currently are only few tokens, it is not too bad.
Andrew Long
What's the relevance of xDAI, is it basically the eth of honeyswap? Worth buying a bag of xdai?
Jonathan Sullivan
nice trips xDai is a stablecoin with its own separate EVM chain, so like a fully compatible ETH sidechain that's faster and cheaper than ETH. if you want to invest in it you should buy STAKE
Jason Myers
No smart contracts and they won’t capitulate to promoting a wrapped form of Bitcoin.
Joshua Murphy
Thanks for the explanation. Comfy with HNY but will keep an eye on stake and may pick some up if it starts to move or see more honeyswap coins listing
Henry Gomez
BTW, you can stake STAKE for some sweet staking rewards.
Nathan Morris
yeah HNY might actually turn out a better investment than STAKE if honeyswap gains some steam farming HNY with STAKE when
Jacob Gonzalez
Stupid question which I'm sure I could google, but how2stakestake? Just need to buy and hold or more than that
Eh, uniswap v3 will also do layer 2 and this'll die.
Charles Diaz
Dang this is sick. Uniswap on L2!
Mason Green
Such a handy tool they've got for this and the staking rewards are actually fairly generous. At least if you keep your STAKE on it for a couple of months and you hit your time-based peak.
Chase Rogers
Or UniV3 will adopt xDAI as the layer 2 and just use Honeyswap. But yeah, it's a huge gamble.
Bentley Barnes
any release date for v3?
Ethan James
UniV3 will win because you still want the mainnet and it will help with cashing out.
Logan Turner
but short term there is money to be made with HNY, remember honeyswap is a clone of uniswap, there is no way they are gona win.
Hunter Davis
Just did some swaps. Super slick.
I know faggots usually say this, but
WE'RE SO FUCKING EARLY OH MY GOD
Joseph Jenkins
>Just did some swaps. Super slick. Right? That chain is the goat, loving it already!
Michael Taylor
Agreed. I’ve never been this early in something yet also so optimistic.
Evan Gutierrez
People who fud this project.... Kek Stay poor
Gavin Wright
Swap is fast and cheap
Andrew Russell
the best tech isn't what wins in crypto. if it did we'd have switched over to XLM dex's years ago. I really like this project from a technical perspective, and honeyswap is definitely a better mousetrap....but it doesn't matter cause no one is going to use it. bridging assets through a smart contract.....switching networks so that your wallet can interface with honey....its too much for your average crypto user to get their head around. how many threads from newfags did we see asking for help for something as simple as claiming uni last week? half this board doesn't even know how to use metamask properly.....they aren't going to swap on honey.
Ethan Jones
You can abstract this all away with a front-end that makes it seem to the user they are swapping on ETH while they are not. Using Metamask, you are even using the same accounts on both networks.
Kevin Phillips
Low-IQ take. As mentions, this isn't a diff network and doesn't require users or devs to change their habits.
Bullish on HNY. If market wasn't shitting itself this would be 10x'ing.
Leo Gutierrez
Well don't forget the inflation. There will always be phases where someone gets an award of HNY and dumps it on the market. But it gets bought up fast.
This one reminds me of RARI (which also has high inflation) that was idling till it got discovered and all of a sudden did a 10x out of nowhere.
I think this is an important point. This thing has no coingecko, no coinmarketcap and the telegram has around 100 members. nothing. So on that front it's great because we're still under the radar.
The inflation doesn't worry me too much. Last time rewards were sent, it was 0.16 HNY to less than a hundred addresses, of which very few sold immediately. If I understand it correctly, the faucet rewards should decrease per address as more addresses use it.
What worries me is the marketcap is already somewhere between $7m and $10m. How is this gonna pull off a 10x or 20x from here? I've seen price targets thrown around that imply this...
On the other hand I've also read rumors (on telegram) about the supposed farming mechanism that will be launched shortly on HNY. That could be the catalyst we need for real growth. pic related.
