a large swath of the investing populace is generally fearful of the potential geopolitical events in the next couple of months. there's not a lot of good news coming out these days and western governments worldwide are going back into lockdown. companies are still laying off everywhere. election contest / court battles. civil unrest if supreme court justice gets nominated, the list goes on and on. the future is not bright.

If Trump wins it'll shoot up again because he'll throw money at everybody an open everything regardless of how many people die just so he can brag about the economy. If Biden wins he'll keep everybody locked down then forget he's President of the US so nothing meaningful gets accomplished and the economy suffers.
