Why did they just suddenly update the reddit scaling demo after 3 months?
XDai reddit
they think theyre gonna lose and are grasping at straws to try and win the plebbit competition, they know irrelevance awaits
We found the OMG bagholder. Reddit is OMG's only hope.
I thought the winner(s) were long decided. Reddit wanted all submissions to be out by August already.
cope
you need to go back.
says the faggot relying on plebbit to moon his bags
But that’s OMG. I’ve done a 9x from xDai already.
xdai-omnibridge.web.app
Just launched. Still officially in beta, but it works. Tested it out. ERC20 token transfer from ETH to xDai chain now works for everyone!
Things are coming together fast. Buy HNY you poorretards. If you know, you know.
Any relation to dai? Also doesn’t DAI already have a poa chain
Maker are backing xDai, but Dai and xDai are separate tokens. xDai however is a stablecoin pegged to Dai which means it’s also pegged to the USD.
How much hny to make it
I could google but I assume you want to shill this so I’ll take advantage of that.
>sidechain right?
>is it plasma?
>is it trustless, ie even if the chain completely fails, i can recover normal dai?
>why isnt MKR used for staking rather than STAKE?
>are state channels on the sidechain planned?
>anything else? novel technologies or new takes?
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST WE'RE GONNA MAKE IT
Looks really good. I also bridged some DAI to use them on honeyswap, was really easy. I hope xDAI makes it and gets a bit better integration in Metamask and the rest of the ecosystem.
Yes.
No idea.
Yes, provided you have a bridge. There are at least two now.
Separate projects, Maker provided support later.
Most important thing of note is it’s the likely candidate to win the Reddit scaling and once ETH 2.0 comes out it’ll be implemented as a shard.
What does this mean
I am going to bridge my STAKE over there so I can put it all as liquidity in the STAKE-HNY pool as soon as it launches. Seems to be within days.
Thanks user
>provided you have a bridge
This sounds sketchy, what does that mean? Do i have to trust the bridge? “No exit game” sounds like it means I have to trust someone
>once ETH 2.0 comes out it’ll be implemented as a shard
this sets off my bs meter as eth2 should not privilege specific project, source?
You are annoying
How is getting some solid info next to your “how much to make it” in the thread bad?
The bridge is how you move between chains. It’s what let’s you take your Dai on Ethereum network and make it xDai on the xDai network. I suppose there’s an element of trust that the software works, but much like Uniswap it can be forked and copied like other open source software.
Apologies, badly worded on my part. It’s intended to become a shard on ETH 2.0, but that doesn’t mean it will in the end because that’s far away. xDai itself has support from lots of ETH devs with even Vitalik shilling it a couple of times on Twitter.
Literally just to pump the price because they saw the same thing happen to OMG.
xDai is the scammiest coin around right now
>This sounds sketchy, what does that mean? Do i have to trust the bridge?
What do you even mean by "if the chain completely fails"? Obviously, if the chain gets taken down by a collusion of validators, you are fucked, like in every chain.
Honeycomb, right? Have only looked into it a bit as it's not yet live.
This commit is not just a grammar check, they added an entire full fledged script. Draw your own conclusions.
It’s not, don’t worry. I’m happy to answer where I can.
Thanks again, I might get in on this. Website looks solid too, I’ll do some further reading tonight.
I was comparing to plasma where as long as you run a little watcher application you can never lose your funds that you moved to the sidechain even if every single pos validator conspires against you to steal them.
the bottom is 20 so if youre trying to get bags id buy now, fud isnt gonna get you any cheaper
you also need to go back.
I'm still trying to understand all this on the fly. Might be that we dont even need to wait for the Honeycomb site. Just stake on Honeyswap STAKE-HNY pool, as you can now transfer your STAKE from Ethereum to xDai chain. Honeycomb will just be an easier UI for the same pool.
You’re welcome, user. I’d advise reading through the xDai website itself because it answers an awful lot. It was my first place to learn about the plans after seeing it shilled on Zig Forums four months ago.
>I was comparing to plasma where as long as you run a little watcher application you can never lose your funds that you moved to the sidechain even if every single pos validator conspires against you to steal them.
Yeah, if I run "a little watcher application" on xDAI to see what the validators are up to, I'll be golden too. This is bullshit bro, the average user won't do it and you know it.
How about you buy the shit out of OMG and I stick with STAKE? I'll spare you the skateboard jokes and you stop trying to imply some super obscure feature makes one better than the other.
Could be, I haven't fully comprehended either. I am providing liq on the xDAI/HNY pool currently, but I am not sure it's a good idea, volume is still very low and IL can eat your HNYs. So I hope honeycomb is more than that - I guess you stake your LP tokens and get HNY or something on top.
>xDai is the scammiest coin around right now
Priced out?
Reddit is for fags. That said, SYS in conjunction with MATIC offered the best proposal. I almost hope Reddit doesn’t choose it though because they’re both going on to bigger and better things, and I want to see that site burn.
I understand that Honeycomb and Honeyswap pools are the same, just that the select pools that are also in Honeycomb will get additional HNY as rewards on top of trading fees. Doesnt matter what UI you initially used for adding liquidity.
Because it's a scam.
