Could what work? This tweet literally provides no info.

Mark Curban could tweet anything theoretically

yes. ubi is the ultimate capitalism redpill. As technology grows, the people who actually matter in the economy become a tinier and tinier fraction. Already most of the US economy is based off of tech and finance jobs that have obliterated the manufacturing and agriculture of 50 years ago, this is why people care about wealth inequality: it's real, it's just that it's inevitable because the top 3% of workers contribute as much as everyone else combined. This process is just getting worse, in fact it is accelerating as tech gains allow more tech gains to be developed even faster, and the end result is pretty dystopian unless we commit to just giving UBI

I think this idiot is talking about UBI

no one with power has the ability or incentive to create a fair humane solution, so I just foresee massive humanitarian disaster tbqh

it’s already ongoing and getting rationalized every day

Only works if the whole world is doing it, otherwise competition between nations and currency exchange would fuck everything up...

but of course we all know that's what's happening NWO baby. Get your chips, stay in line, be a good goy and keep it PC. Or don't eat, your choice.

Pic related. I am as capitalist as they come. It is an absolutely beautiful system. But this is the inevitable evolution of it, and it becomes just a philosophy issue to decide what to do with the inevitable non-producers, and I think UBI is basically essential

Let alone all the benefits of UBI insofaras it lets poor people take risks on business ventures and other endeavors that they otherwise wouldn't be able to. Wealth creation is dependent on risk taking, and innovation is dependent on risk taking, so the state of the world where lots of people can't afford to take any risk seems pretty bad

Letting the government try to allocate services and welfare is a complete and utter disaster. On the other hand giving everyone a no questions asked dollar-parity UBI check is almost foolproof

cuban is total fucking moron
he got lucky once and that's his entire life
his children will prob go back to poverty

Mark Cuban wants the gov't to give people a weekly $1000 stimulus check for a while during the pandemic, basically it's UBI at that point.

>hand everyone $2k
>Man A buys new tires for their car, a ps5, and a few games
>Man B puts his $2k into chainlink
>fast forward 5 years
>Man A ps5 worthless, games worthless, needed new tires multiple times
>Man B $2k is now valued at $500k as USD continues to inflate

How do you keep Man A fed in this scenario and why do you want to? He is a man not your child you shouldn't be feeding him as if he were you stupid fucking cuck. Don't make Man B pay for Man A's tires or else Man B will hide his wealth and flee your shithole.

I'm not for UBI but in that case new tires should help get a new job unless you just mean fancy nigger rims, the ps5 and gaems are retarded though

>but he needs the tires for work
You are just adding this to make yourself feel better there is nothing in the story where Man A will get a job because he has tires. He has the means to work from home but needs tires? You are baby.

Ubi won't work not because the mechanics are not sound
they won't work because like some of the people in this thread they only see the negative aspects of their fellow humans and they look for evil until they confirm their bias

You can make a token right now called UBI where if you own 1 token you are entitled to 100 tokens every 100000 block confirmations, but no more than 100 tokens. This gives everyone who has at least 1 token which marks them as a member a Universal basic income. If UBI is the future then this will work and everyone will have plenty of money right?

This is effectively what UBI seeks to do, but a token with these economics never work and you would understand why if you weren't so dumb at economics and stopped thinking that USD is different than every other thing on the planet due to magical thinking. Some pajeet can code this though if they wanted I don't think it exists yet.

Its fine because only the smartest few percent will actually make that kind of money trading and investing while normies will just panic sell at the soonest dip and take their money to buy a new 2022 honda civic or a TV or something

No it literally can't work because if the mechanics. No matter how you attempt to redistribute the wealth you will always end up with pareto distribution. If you're handing everyone a handful of cash for nothing it must come from somewhere if you are printing it digitally and everyone with digital wallet gets x amount of money every week over and over. What is happening is you're constantly inflating the supply ie price goes down. It only remains high if everyone wants it which happens now because people don't realize that Bitcoin is actually the hedge not USD. Eventually the normie finds out, not until it is too late though.

>$500 billion
>365 million+ Americans, 20 million illegal immigrants
>$1300 per person
Isn't this literal what the Trump stimulus was? It clearly won't work over 12 fucking months.

Im not reading all your negative babble
In your mind the average person is evil
Debt literally does not matter
Debt only matters when you are an individual then they label you taxable chattel
If you are some too big to fail company you get a bailout from the system
retards like you preach no handouts and we don't like it either but then you support the system and complain about anyone who preaches something for the common rabble
shove it up your pretentious asshole know it all

The idea isn't to make everyone equal forever, ala communism. The idea is to provide enough for the least of us, making sure everyone can survive, and those with the will and the wisdom can thrive, ala western socialism. It removes the sociopathy inherent in capitalism while still allowing the driven to rise.

>should help get a new job
The whole point of UBI is to fucking replace work and jobs.

>not doing swaps
>international swaps to ultra poor
>getting an entire new class of people all over the world into the banking system
>free testing without fucking up your own local country

Potentially. Or help people do work that is less economically viable. Like disability care.

Central banks print money to create inflation. Why not directly give it to people through UBI rather than purchasing government bonds or giving it to banks.

Sorry, this is misguided. I've read ayn rand too, you're dumb if you think our current system already doesn't do this. Everyone pays for eachother to some degree already, lets make it explicit and dollar-denominated instead of random welfare benefits

no. what would work is ending fiat currency and fractional reserve banking. by going back on a gold standard, people can save money without losing purchasing power over time. then, we could end the need for pointless welfare altogether.

Then pick up those meme assault rifles cause the only way those things end are with violence

>what would work is ending fiat currency and fractional reserve banking. by going back on a gold standard,

Imagine trading the unlimited power of BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR for shiny rocks.

You pay your taxes in USD, not pajeetcoin. Your taxes will still be paid in USD even if it's provided via UBI. USD has more transactions outside of the US than within it. You think you're smart for this comment but it really just shows how little you really understand about economics and the USD's unique positioning.

right the bankers and politicians won't give it up easy, hence the reply by another user here
