friendly reminder that if you're "working" from home, your job is likely redundant, and you should look into a new career path
if you can work from home, it's very likely that your job is redundant, the amount of lay offs coming when companies realize this is going to be astronomical
He showed weakness in public meaning the nearby nigger mob will be targeting him to beat/ rob/ rape within minutes yes this is what its like in the US in 2020
Blake Perez
Give one reason why this would be the case
Easton White
Ive created over $500k in sales for my employer over the last 18 months, I think I'll be fine
Samuel Miller
yeah you're good because it's going to be abundantly clear how pointless so many jobs are, at least when people had to show up to work it gave the illusion things were getting done, now the rug will pulled out
companies will start introducing more monitoring/restrictions on computer use, because they will think that productivity is down simply because of WFH, after further investigation they will realize a lot of these jobs were pointless to begin with
combine that with seniority and unions collapsing and there you go
Mason Jones
Not for me. I'm the best in my industry due to my autism and attention to detail. And I purposely settle for a low salary so I'm seen as a good value for the company and less likely to get replaced. That's the key. A 50k salary is just as effective as a 200k if you're good at trading crypto and saving money. High salaries are unironically a huge meme.
I would absolutely find whoever pulled the string, and strangle him to death right there in front everyone.
Isaiah Martinez
>work for less than your worth What the actual fuck, why not get paid $200k/year if you can swing it and do even better trading crypto?? This has to be most retarded fucking advice I've ever fucking seen on this board, work for less money fucking omegalul
John Powell
Okay, that's cool. I hate my job anyway. If everyone gets fired en masse then I know I'll be in the same boat as everyone else and won't really care. You actually described best case scenario to me, OP.
But something tells me I'll be one of the last let go because they already use me to write scripts that automate other people's jobs anyway.
>And I purposely settle for a low salary so I'm seen as a good value for the company and less likely to get replaced
this has to be bait
Benjamin Barnes
i hope this is an ironic post >But something tells me I'll be one of the last let go because they already use me to write scripts that automate other people's jobs anyway. yeah you're not getting let go wagie wagie
Chase Ortiz
oh no no no no user! if you're really worth 200k then you can get something similar with another company. tell your current employer that employer B is offering you X dollars and you want at least 90% of that to stay or else you're gone.
Owen Barnes
Um...yeah I'm gonna have to say this is a real big cope, bro. I make around that much and am way overutilized for my pay. Buy I'm not going to delude myself into thinking it gives me more job security than most other people. They aren't paying you low because you're a bargain, they're paying you low because there are no fuckin jobs lol
i did skip college but i got somewhat lucky and ended up with a job that would normally require a degree, and now i have enough experience that it doesn't matter
Noah Young
Ah, another day of "working from home" doing absolutely nothing.
lol same my colleagues are 4 years older than me, have degrees and get paid the same amount feels fucking good considering I am not in a 70k dept like them
Joshua Murphy
enjoy it while it lasts
Jacob Thompson
UBI is pretty much going to become necessary within a few years because of the virus.
Most people contribute very little to their places of work, the value tends to derive from a very small cluster of people, the rest just coattail.
Does that large corporate office need 25% of its personal to be exclusively dealing with HR? No, especially because most of them are women and they need other women to cover all the maternity leave and boost the diversity quotas.
Its going to be a bloodbath.
Christian Ward
>likely curious about why you included this word -- twice what WFH jobs aren't redundant?
Jordan Allen
Instead of just pretending to work in the office half of the time I can now do other stuff at home.
Luke Thomas
>what WFH jobs aren't redundant? design, some IT stuff
