We europoors like to talk a lot of shit about America, many times it's justified, but I think when it comes to salaries the joke is on us. I've seen that 90k$ can be easily achieved in America even without education, while an educated, intelligent person can earn 200k +. In Europe, on the other hand, the starting salary is around 30k$ medium in 50k$ and it's really hard to get a job that pays over 100k. This is western Europe, its 1.5-4 times less in central and east. Am I wrong Americabros? How hard is it to get a job that pays in the high 5 figures and what qualification do you need for that job?
European vs American salaries
No lol.
Masters degree 42k out of school in a tech field. Changed jobs many times to get to the high 5 figure range
I’m not sure. Everything about Europe’s laws i like better but we have legal weed here. Everyone in Europe seems like a really uptight ass hole. The weather is garbage and USA has every type of climate in the world.
USA has infinitely better culture but there’s too much degenerate shit.
I want to leave America for either Europe or Asia but I refuse to live without but god damn it this place sucks. I Also heard euros pay like 55% in tax.
>USA has infinitely better culture but there’s too much degenerate shit.
>kek
A European garbage can has more history that your entire country what the fuck are you talking about lmao
>Also heard euros pay like 55% in tax.
35-60 in west and north, yes. It's horrible. We got much better social safety net than us tho.
First job? Tech usually pays a lot higher.
Top pay for a package car driver at UPS in my district will be just over $40/hr at the end of the current contract. I think it's a little over $38 now. I work a lot of 55+ hour weeks. Money is good, but it comes at the expense of your life. Eventually you get a ton of time off I guess that helps. I only get 3 weeks right now.
>How hard is it to get a job that pays in the high 5 figures and what qualification do you need for that job?
The problem with trying to answer that question with any degree of certainty is the US economy is several degrees of magnitude larger and more diverse that any national or even regional economy in Europe. You would have to be more specific.
>A European garbage can has more history that your entire country what the fuck are you talking about lmao
We've existed for a fraction of the time as you and yet we've arguably accomplished as much, if not more, than the rest of you combined in that time.
We certainly matter more than you as far that influence on the overall direction of global affairs is concerned and we will continue to do so for a while.
Don't get so uppity Euro-fren.
Nobody gives a shit about history
Europe is irrelevant in pop culture
Getting some italian gucci bullshit mentioned on an AMERICAN rap video is the most relevant europe gets
>We certainly matter more than you
No you don't. Just because some billionaires have an address of registration in the US doesn't mean your country is great.
Keep living in your dreamland but don't make this thread about eu vs America. This is about salaries. If you are too young to contribute gtfo.
not all tech is in computers or engineering. Biotech is paid much worse than sister tech departments
This is about eu being trash
Is this your first job?
>over $40/hr
Jesus fuck. It's 12$ for deliveries in eu.
you can work at an Amazon warehouse 40 hours a week and earn $35k a year
>Just because some billionaires have an address of registration in the US doesn't mean your country is great.
Not at all what I said or implied, but I'll give you a pass because English clearly isn't your first language. For someone claiming they aren't interested in having a USA vs EU pissing contest you sure are throwing around a lot of piss.
As I said before, rephrase your question with more specificity and we will try to answer it.
That is around 20k in west Europe.
>but I'll give you a pass because English clearly isn't your first language.
no need mate, it's my 4th language and I'm still speaking it better than any American I know. You not getting my question confirms it. This thread is about salaries and i'm only trying not to make it an irrelevant eu vs us pissing contest (you don't matter, no YOU don't matter type shit), My question is pretty clear it about minimum/medium salaries and since I've heard a lot of American making over 90$ a year I asked how hard it is to get a job. You're probably too young to answer my question.
>I asked how hard it is to get a job.
that kind of a job**
Your english is garbage
Prolly why your salary is so low
>I’m not sure. Everything about Europe’s laws i like better but we have legal weed here. Everyone in Europe seems like a really uptight ass hole. The weather is garbage and USA has every type of climate in the world.
>USA has infinitely better culture but there’s too much degenerate shit.
Weed is degenerate and is a gateway to degeneracy.
Yes that was my first job. But i know people who were complacent and my age making about that still. I only got closer to double range by switching jobs many times
Don't waste your time here, this board is 18+.
says jews
How hard is it to earn 100k+ over there? It's pretty uncommon in Europe.
no one makes that except managers and post doctorates in biotech
>I asked how hard it is to get a job
Let me rephrase it one more time before I give up trying to help you: WHAT KIND OF FUCKING JOB AND/OR INDUSTRY ARE YOU REFERRING TO?
maybe if you land a job early in the company some give sick bonuses like stock options. Really only chance youd have at my level
Europe is history. You all live in the past.
What do you work now? You said you earn high 5 figures.
I made $180,000 last year and had a federal income tax rate of around 3.5%.
In all honesty I think I'd rather live in Europe. I got to do the backpack thing there for a few weeks and the quality of everything seemed so much higher.
This is the best place to make money on the planet, it’s a playground. Socialists here lost the game on literal baby mode.
Same thing dude. I still just pipette samples in a lab all day until my thumb feels like falling off
Dont mind me just popping in to say that Europe is awesome but its sad to see it cucked to the point where they don't even have the right to defend themselves and have to go through a million miles of bureaucratic redtape to own a firearm press F for our poor Euro cousins
High paying (100k+) job. I don't jave a specific industry in mind, I asked how hard is it to earn over 100k in USA as it's pretty uncommon in Europe but I've heard a lot of people making it in America. Hope it's clear now.
>I made $180,000 last year and had a federal income tax rate of around 3.5%.
Trades?
>This is the best place to make money on the planet, it’s a playground.
Seems so. Much better than europe from what I've heard.
>but its sad to see it cucked to the point where they don't even have the right to defend themselves
It's really sad dude.
