I am a stupid fuck. I had no business fraudulently applying for this loan, but I was incredibly stupid and shortminded. Please don't risk your future for a short term gain. I am so fucking stupid. Does anyone know how they will be contacting suspected fraudsters? Can I just turn myself in somewhere? This is making me very anxious and I can't sleep properly. It would be my first ever criminal act, I am truly sorry for applying and taking the loan. I really don't know what to do.

I’ve read that the federal government is so swamped with loan applications right now that you’ll probably be in the clear unless you took out an enormous amount and blew it on a sports car or something. It was 20K, the bank closed my account though. I think I made it worse by pretending to be what im not when I called and asked why and also sending money to a different account. I am fucking stupid.

They closed it cause I was trying to send a thousand to the person who helped me apply for loan. This happened a month ago, all they sent me was an account closing letter. The only positive that I have taken from this is that I am no longer afraid to exert myself and if by some miracle I get out of this without prison time, I'll work full time and do online school when I come home.

This. It's a loan, if you can pay back what you took and you don't have a criminal history you probably don't have to face any jail time. You really need to start thinking things through and planning them out.

The bank seized most of it $17K/20K, i can still give back all of it. But would they make me repay the entire loan anyways plus the fines?
