I think a more reliable indicator is inversing the MACD(200,50) of QQQ. In other words, when the 50EMA dives below the 200EMA (or MA), you sell. When it rises above, you buy. Simple and stupid tends to be more reliable here. You'd want to shift into something related to vola or inversely correlated to the markets. CASH and TLT, for example.
