I seriously think the potential of this is huge, if the 1.0 launch is great and works fantastic as the demos we have would suggest then Libertas could become a real competitor to all the other podcasting services which are owned (most of the time) by billionaires and millionaires who want to control what people say and to push certain naratives - look at the recent Joe Rogan drama for example.
All it takes is for one big podcaster to mention Libertas and it could suddenly blast off - think of the possibilities such as BAT integration in 1-2 years times.

After seeing lots of 'free speech' sites crumble by increments, I've found the canary in the coal mine to be loli porn. (Loli, not actual CP.) It's a perfect confluence of repulsively objectionable to most while also being factually harmless. It requires an emotional appeal to attack, which is the vector by which most censorship comes: It's always for your protection.
True CP being irremovable is a problem, I admit. But there needs to be a place where the only restriction on speech is not being allowed to shout over someone else's.

I was actually wondering about this on the way home. Back in the early days of Zig Forums, we'd share non-image files by compressing whatever else (often music but usually .pdfs of books) into a .rar and then converting that .rar into an image. You post the image, the person on the other side downloads it, changes the file extension to .rar, and decompresses it. Boom, file transfer over Zig Forums. I wonder if I could take a .pdf and change the extension to .mp3 and upload that.

checked, and ya would be cool if you could use it for other media forms, but I dont think the dev would want people encoding images/videos on the block chain regularly cuz of muh cp. Im also wondering how copy right shit will be dealt with considering the monetization aspect of it. This could easily end up being a piratebay equivalent for blockchain which is pretty bullish considering how much redditors love that shit.
