Wrong, a suicide stack is 1/millionth of the total supply. Hence chainlink is 1k because 1k out of a billion tokens, bitcoin is 21 bitcoin, etc.

Monero is roughly the same supply as bitcoin. Final crossover will be in like 2045. To be safe you should get 33 to have a millionth of the supply a century from now. If you want to cheap out you can get 18 since that's when the initial bigger rewards end and the slow linear tail emission begins.

I just watched the talk where that slide came from yesterday after an user posted it. I'm planning to get at least a 1 millionth stack, get a new ledger X for my new hot wallet, and use my old ledger S as my monero cold storage

It has good slides so I took a bunch of screenshots. In my view hardware wallets are good hot wallets because they are very secure compared to other hot wallets but I wouldn't trust technology for cold storage. I'd at least want a paper backup so cosmic rays or something don't kill my keys.

As long as you keep the seed phrase on paper separate from the wallet, the danger is mitigated to a degree without resorting to a metal back up or safety deposit box.
