Apparently phase 0 is being rolled out early next month. Tell me why I should give a fuck about any ETH killers like FTM, Dot, or Algo or DEX competitors like LRC, XSN, FTM Uni Fork, etc, when ETH 2.0 and Uniswap v3 will fix all the issues with ETH and altcoins/defi and already has name recognition?

I can’t speak for anything else on that list but XSN is a literal scam that still doesn’t have a working dex and claims to be “more than a dex” yet the only development updates are fixing typos and making MSPaint mock-ups (photoshop is too expensive for such a serious organization I guess, lmao) of functionality that will never come.
I am somewhat skeptical of ETH 2.0 delivering, but zero chance am I ever even considering XSN to do anything worthwhile.

No 'currency-only' coin ever came close to dethroning btc because of network effect. Eth vs eth killers is exactly the same argument. Everyone builds on eth because everyone else builds on eth. Because phase 0 is only staking, smart contracts on ETH 2.0 are 2 years away. And even if phase 2 came out this year other platforms will still be relevant because ETH 2.0 still won't be enough to handle the load if crypto becomes truly mainstream

It depends more on how long it takes, if ETH2.0 isn't out for like 5 years and another trustless smart contracts platform is scalable in the meantime it will win out.
Reminder that real world companies have never dealt with smart contracts in their history, they have no biases and don't give a shit what crypto influencers think.
If they can start massively shaving off their overhead costs now by using an ETH killer or wait 5 years for ETH2.0, they will use the ETH killer.
