turing 3 testnet was the final missing piece , now the v3 client can be launched, all the dVPN logic will be integrated directly with the cosmos chain, so i expect v3 client will be coming out in october and main net november december ( but no official date from the team other then "before the end of the year")
the new whitepaper will definitely come before main net
Looking forward to reading what the hell this is all about. The exit nodes will need to be addressed.

here's a short term TA, by 2021 sentinel will be biggest project built on tendermint after cosmos itself so i would say half a billion dollar is a reasonable marketcap
you need to ask yourself this question, what would be the value of tor if nodes could monetize ? well thats the what sentinel will reach, it will surpass tor node count in 2 years

after main net SENT will also launch its own multi hop relay net which will initially have 3 types of nodes:
-relay node which will never come in contact with unencrypted dats thats what normal users will host it will only relay traffic between themself and to a exit nodes -normal exit nodes which will require more expert users and will be subject to the same precautionary measures as when you host a tor node. -tor exit node here the exit node funnels the data into tor its thought for people that run tor nodes already to offer them revenue for their service
you will be able to exit directly into tor think of it as a way to reach security through layering: your pc > relay node 1 > relay node 2 > relay node 2 >....any x n relay >> exit node > tor exit node > tor entry > tor relay > tor exit. (you can add as many relay nodes as you want, if even one of them is safe you will be protected from surveillance)
is a simple VPS enough to validate? any stake needed to run nodes?

a vps is probably not enough, other validators will be attacking you to secure their rewards, you need spam protection, no stake is needed to run a validator peopke stake their sent on your node and you get part of their rewards in exchange for the service you provide
