I know what you are saying, but looking at a real estate website for my country there are only 117 listings in total, many of which you are not allowed to build on or are "valued" at multiple millions. So while it's not much for a homestead it is pretty much unattainable in my country (where I wouldn't stay).

If the money is there I would shoot for way more land. I've been looking for US land online but I'd probably need a real estate agent.
