Will things even sell if they are graded but not mint? I just check sold listings on Ebay and I have secret rare Dark Magician and LOB Swords of Revealing Light that are probably 8s at best and they went for 1500 and 1000 respectively. Its a shame I played with all these cards when I was younger I was 15 and am 30 now. Who knew? I have more I'm still checking but damn man. I found those 2 in just a few minutes.
I posted this in the thread with no answer. I'm basically just trying to figure out if its worth getting this stuff graded or not.

What do 1998 Japanese Jungle set holos go for now days? I have the full set in mint condition
Better off flipping them raw if they can't get a 9 or 10. Or just hodl them and wait for them to gain even more value.

The prices are significantly different raw vs. graded. Seriously like 100x different.

If you can’t get at least an 8, which is like 1 corner showing some dings, then I wouldn’t bother an sell it as LP or lightly played on eBay. Let someone else hold it forever. The investors all want 9/10s. Maybe an 8 if it’s a first edition shadowless char
Ethan Smith
Interesting. I might be able to get 8 on some of these then thanks

I've got a 9.5 graded LeBron James rookie promo card that I hope will be worth a decent amount by the time he retires.

If this is still going a bit later I'll post pictures. I have a lot. Red Eyes Black Metal Dragon and mine is probably 9 possibly 10 I don't see any blemishes any where it sold for about 120
Trading cards are under the collectibles tax right? 28%. Do you guys pay that or just hide from the IRS?
Gabriel Young
Most of us just lie and call it a "hobby" to avoid getting looked at by the IRS.

How much does it cost to get things graded? Everything on Ebay is PSA ratings it looks like. I'm not really sure how this works. I have quite a few $100-$250 Yugioh cards that I'm seeing on Ebay from recently sold listings.

Hmm...last I checked, ebay didn't exist in the 1600s. So completely different circumstances.
Brayden Bailey
where to buy them?
Dominic Torres
it can cost a lot and is dependent on the cards value. bulk grading for cards worth less than $99 each is like $9 or $10 bucks each depending on how many you send and a card with $100,000 value costs several thousand dollars to grade.
Daniel Turner
I see. I have maybe 30 I'd want to get graded but some are potentially worth 250 it looks like.
How much are those worth? I had all three as a kid and gave them away, im a retard
Ayden Ross
These are from the non-american gameboy game release so you may have had the more typical starter deck versions. The starter deck blue eyes + dark magician would probably be a couple hundred in mint. Much more if 1st edition. The ones I posted are easily over 5k now, I bought them for $1k a few years ago and just graded them this year.

Motherfucker here
I forgot to enlarge before I saved them but they are in the other thread correctly lol
