sounds like a ton of work but it also sounds like you make a lot of money. nice, wish i could find a niche and make some side money. everything i think up i end up shooting down.

It is a lot of work, I usually "work" like 15 hours a day, wake up at 3am, etc. Admittedly like 8-12+ hours of my day is just reading and absorbing information, but its still necessary. But its all stuff I really enjoy, and stuff I'd be doing anyways even if I wasn't monetizing it (I've always been a no-life internet lurker who spends all his free time reading). Eventually I intend to scale back, get more into passive revenue streams/investments, maybe sell one of my brands, outsource sections of the other, etc, but for now I'm pretty comfy. I also dont HAVE to work ever, or have anyone breathing down my neck for deadlines and such.

I want to start a youtube channel, but I'm not a huge faggot and wouldn't be able to do the pandering bullshit every youtuber does. But it seems awfully lucrative and like a bubble that just wont pop. Driving traffic to something is easy as fuck as well once you know how to hit the right pain points/endorphin releases of your targeted audience.

I don't understand the reverse-nepotism with boomers.

Now, granted, I don't have any children so this is just a larp, but even now I'm thinking about how when I do have children I want to set them up for success. I wouldn't impose my will on him, I know that everybody wants to do things their own way, but I'd encourage him that if he works, sticks with it, and doesn't spend his money on frivolous shit that he could very well afford to buy a house of his own in his 20's and I'd be willing to pay partially for his house and do any sort of legwork / phone calls to help him get a job that he's interested in. After he has a house, then he can really afford to do whatever he wants with his life and I'd never discourage him away from doing anything he's passionate about.

Basically, I'd be the complete opposite of my own dad.

It's still possible to make it, but it requires you to either be a fucking genius or have rich parents. You literally can't have a nice life anymore by being an average guy that works for a good company for 40 years with benefits and a pension. Start your own business.

As shitty as the boomers were, almost everyone in my generation is a weak willed spoiled brat that can't make the best of the cards they were dealt. It sucks what we inherited, but it's still a not awful first world country. However everyone my own age refuses to save, refuses to invest, refuses to live within their means for even a couple of months so that they can save up an emergency fund.

Monthly expenses are killing my generation. Boomers had utilities and a house payment, my generation has to have the newest iphone every year which is so easy to pay for with installments, and while you are doing that, it's so easy to just add on icloud and apple care+. Then They have to have unlimited data which is expensive as hell, or else how will they stream their spotify subscriptions in the car. Then they have at least 3 of netflix, hulu, disney+, Amazon prime, etc. They go out to eat constantly, I've lived with 3 roommates who the only food they keep in their fridge is takeout leftovers and drinks. The only time they "cook" is throwing frozen food in the microwave. Then they won't even drive to pick up that food because they pay extra for door dash or whatever. You can't convince them to compromise on any of this because "whatever, I'll always be in student debt so just be happy, teehee!" Then whine about how society is unfair, they have to live like someone in Sudan just to live paycheck to paycheck. When they all retire, they are going to be so entitled in such great numbers, they are going to tear the country apart. None of them are saving for retirement, they'll all vote in massive numbers about how the government is responsible for providing retirement and housing for them because they all grew up renting without even a thought to saving toward their own house. They're basically going to be a generation of geriatric leeches trying to enact full on socialism doing everything they can to eat the "rich" who lived responsible and saved money. /rant
