Is selling on tgcplayer worth my time? I have a lot of old cards.

>Youtube normie investing How is this not the biggest sell signal? Do you really wanna buy Logan Pauls bags?
Dylan Walker
We've come a long way. From the beginning 4 years ago when a new YouTuber called AlphaInvestments was telling everyone that they should invest in cards, to now where everyone from normies investing for retirement to mega high net worth people like Logan Paul are investing.
And we're just getting started. This moon mission is going to last forever. Cards will only go up!!!! RISK-FREE, HIGH REWARD!!!

I have a red eyes black dragon holo that is in mint condition from like 2004 is this worth anything
Eli Nelson
>2004
The Shonen Jump Promo? Those are like $200 if you get a PSA10.
Normie youtubers are in now? The top definitely isn’t in user, definitely not
Hunter Rivera
>have become normie
you have always been.

Yes. Start by organizing your collection, and split the foils from the non foils. Download the app and use the scanner feature, it will speed up the process tremendously

the fact you can still buy sealed boxes (12 gem 9/10 holos a box) means everyone is overpaying by default
Justin Harris
I'm not being ironic. I strongly believe cards are the golden bull.
Idk how do i check. Im not into cards but when I was like 10 my mom took a bunch of my fancy shit and put it in our family safe and it's still in there. All the cards in the safe are from 03-05 I think there is a relinquish 1000 eyes or whatever too

>tfw had a near-complete set of the first set of Pokemon cards, some of them first editions, but sold them around 2006 because the other kids at my school called me gay for liking Pokemon It's not a big loss though, most of the holos I had were damaged to shit by hell knows what and most of the cards I had were secondhand collections given to me by guys in my class who didn't want to be called gay lol

fuck off pajeet

Are those old Beanie Baby cards worth anything? Probably not but I've got sealed cases of those dumb shits in my basement.

These threads are the most cancerous shit I've ever seen on this board. Feels like I clicked on reddit.

Are you sure the top isn't in? I saw some guy trying to sell a few PSA 9 and 10s on Facebook market place for like $1700. That being said there was a few people with binders of shit that was 2002 or prior and I was tempted to snatch them up. One guy had like 7 charmanders and 9 pickachus etc the conditions looked amazing as well but I can't tell the difference between shadowless and all the other slight changes. The pricing is much different as well on Ebay. I'll see the same card listed for like $600 but doesn't seem like people are paying more than maybe $150-200 for it in the sold listings. The economy is all over the place. I can't tell how many actual buyers there are. It seems like speculators buying from speculators
Dylan Smith
It is speculators buying from speculators. But why is that a problem? It will continue on upwards, because more and more investors every day are discovering this risk-free, high reward opportunity.
Jayden Ward
How is it risk free exactly? I think buying something someone else has already gotten PSA graded is incredibly risky. The real money seems to be finding old shit locally from people that don't realize the value or can't be bothered to do the work themselves. However I can buy a bind of shit that looks like its easily worth $4000 for around $300 but it would cost another $700 to get graded. That's a legit return for the amount of work but what are the odds it would actually sell? Also how does the grading work. The PSA website was kind of unclear. I'm looking at roughly 50-60 cards and it seemed like it was at least $10 per card upwards of $50? If they grade something for me and I don't know the value then do they determine how much it costs once they grade it? It said I have to estimate values before I send them in? If I send in a $200 card that's $20 to get it graded? Please explain the PSA grading and costs with more specifics if you can?
Brody Long
It's risk-free because it's guaranteed to only ever go up.
James Harris
Uh what if demands drops off? I'd love for you to explain how its guaranteed. Seriously. Beanie Babies are worth practically nothing unless you have the most rare ones possible
Eli Robinson
Nothing is risk-free. What you are experiencing is called irrational exuberance. Quit stacking Beanie Babies and Pogs while you are still ahead.
Aaron Rodriguez
PSA grading is a trap. No one buys PSA graded cards at full price. The only reason to PSA grade anything is so you can donate it and use it as a tax deduction like fine art pieces, or use them as collateral for loans. If you can buy an excellent looking card for 25 and flip it for 50, do it. PSA 10 $1000 is a joke.

The hype of PSA grading cards to resell for 10x profit hasn't been going on as a mainstream thing for barely 3-4 years. For instance PSA stopped their $20 economy service for card valuations up to $500. They probably have way to many submissions to cover which is not a good sign. The market is going to be flooded with PSA 9 and 10s if its not already.
