Well, it's confirmed to be the theme of Davos in January 2021. It seems like an unavoidable thing at this point though. I've not heard a single economist claim it's not happening or was a question mark, merely talking about it as a foregone conclusion.

Common man is made familiar with CBDCS. He will be enticed to use and accept them with increasingly regular stimulus deposits and negative interest rates.
In the longer time frame (3-5 years), commoner stimulus recipients will become more neatly herded into discrete, technologically enforced liquidity pools from which lifestyle merchants can extract value.

Yep there's 2 scenarios unfolding here:
1) Coronavirus is actually extremely deadly and cataclysmic, to the point if people were aware just how deadly and earthshattering there would be mass rioting, overthrow of governments, bloodshed and horror the likes of which we've never seen. So governments and the scientific community are treading water, buying time by downplaying it and covering it up
2) Like you say, the virus is nothing and is a smokescreen for some... bizarre and unknowable move from the elites. I don't know what they're gearing up for. I don't know what they're about to do.
But rest assured it's not going to be good for us, the common man.

Fed Reserve will die, USDC will be backed by gold on the Algorand blockchain. Before this happens stock market will crash and Tether will go down dragging bitcoin and all the rest with it. Prompting calls for a new regulated crypto system. Some alts will survive, some will do well, most will crash to nothing. Have physical precious metals to trade in after the banks crash to reinvest in crypto when the dust settles from the great reset.

There's a lot of theories that they are going to issue a new blockchain based dollar and they own the ledger and every transaction will be logged so they can see literally everything that happens, and it'll have things like smart contracts or whatever that they could make it so that money is more like software with programming logic to do stuff like for examples would be gibs or UBI with a bunch of conditions attached to it on how you could use it, requirements to spend your money within a certain timeframe or it expires worthless, your money is more valuable when you spend your money at minority owned businesses and less valuable when you spend it at white owned businesses. Theories about who are going to be issuing this is the federal reserve bank, and that the federal reserve is going to put regular banks out of business so they only bank left standing is the central bank.

My maximum tinfoil explanation is that according to the Torah, every 50 years the Hebrews were required to have a complete debt jubilee. American money became nothing but debt in 1971 when Nixon "temporarily" pulled the USD off its gold peg to stop Europeans from cashing out their dollars for gold. 2021 will be 50 years after 1971. Sure is strange that banks were buying up huge chunks of PM miners while suppressing the price of the actual commodity with its derivative, huh?
