I’m always sad. I’m a sad boy. No matter how much money I’ve made I’m still always scared for the future. And, no matter how much I make losing it feels 100x worse. I’ve made a few hundred thousand but at this point unless it cracks over a million I literally don’t feel anything on the way up. Besides which all my income is from trading which makes it impossible to ever feel secure. But, any job I’d get would pay a fraction as much and enslave my time.
Idk have any of you guys ever had the sads and found any ways to make it a bit better?
I guess compounding this I also feel like every year I haven’t made it I’m wasting youth. I’m working ten times harder than my friends and I’ve earned more but I can’t even enjoy it. Then on the flip side I see people who have it all handed to them. Traveling and enjoying wealth that their parents just give them

GO TO THE DOCTOR RETARD YOU HAVE DEPRESSION

Yes, there are a few things you can do, but may not want to because you are depressed. This is what helped me:
1) Eat cleaner most of the time. This means no more fast food (or a lot less of it). Your body has certain foods that will trigger or elongate your depression. For me it was shitty fast food burgers. Chicken didn't trigger it for me. It might be different for you, but eliminate all of it first and when you start feeling better, eat one of them and if you notice it affecting you, stop eating just that menu item. Try a meatless day or two as well. I don't mean become vegan or something, but have a day or two of just carbs, veggies, and fruits. Just to clean out your system.
2) Masturbate less. Again, you don't have to do it all at once, but limit it. I found that if I did it in the morning, it would throw me into a negative mood all day long so I had to decided to only do it before bed and only once or twice a week max.
3) Get a productive hobby. This will give you a sense of purpose which many people lack. It can be programming, woodworking, building figures, whatever. Just do something creative in your spare time sometimes instead of just consuming all the time.
4) Take the Christ pill. Religion gives an even greater sense of purpose, even more so when it's founded in logic and reason. Pick up a Bible and start in the New Testament. When you're comfortable, find a Church somewhere. I recommend a Catholic church because they have a program called RCIA that is like a complete "why do we believe what we believe" course for free and it's fairly comprehensive.
Good luck user. There are likely more things you can do, but this is what I remember helping me

Being active helps me. Go for long walks. Even better, get a nice doggo and go for walks together. You’re not alone if it’s any consolation

Thanks mate. I’m super clean diet wise and go to the gym a bunch
I’ve run a couple start ups wel but that’s a high stress hobby lol — I guess I always feel like if the task isn’t making money it’s hard to justify
Religion is a hard one for me but it seems to help people a lot
Honestly was thinking of getting a pet. I was concerned about travel though also if the labor is too high. Does it help a bunch? I’d imagine it does?

> No matter how much money I’ve made I’m still always scared for the future. This seems less like depression and more like anxiety. > And, no matter how much I make losing it feels 100x worse. This is normal, there are Nobel-winning economics studies on loss aversion. > Besides which all my income is from trading which makes it impossible to ever feel secure. See: anxiety
