GameStop is not going to be making money off of physical copies of games this holiday season. Their entire livelihood depends on console sales. If a lockdown happens they won't have foot traffic to sell consoles instead they'll rely on their online store which gets bodied by the competition since they can offer better deals and better shipping.

GME is going to fucken boom Q4. I've been a to a few stores to ask around (and you can check their gamestop employee reddit too for some info from the employees), and they run of consoles to sell far faster than at any point in their history. Don't ask me why console buyers are retarded, but they are. They typically run out 10min after listing a new batch online. It will really take shorters by storm when those sales come out.

I don't know if Q3 earnings will include these preorders. Q4 will be great for them though. So right now, I guess we just have to wait. Q4 will pull a Bed Bath and Beyond but I'm in smg and I WANT MONEY NOW.
On the other side, one announcement from a big player about GME, like Ryan, and the stock will moon. We've got a ton of big boys buying up stocks left and right while they're cheap. I don't know why, but something is coming boys.
Yes. Did you not read the last sentence where I state that and how it pales in comparison to other online stores? People go to GameStop because they want their games right then and there, not to wait for 1-2 days to ship. A console launch means more people in stores picking up accessories and games. If people are forced to buy online only then they'll more likely use other online stores with better deals, more selection, and better shipping.
